(MAY 8) WBAN published a story earlier today that Mary McGee, of Indiana, is set to fight in her hometown on June 8th, on a televised card. In the press release that we received, it was stated that McGee's opponent has not been named.

Corrales killed
in Motorcycle accident

(MAY 8) WBAN would like to give their condolences to the friends and family to ex world-champion Diego “Chico” Corrales, 29 years old,  who died in Las Vegas, Nevada,  this week in a tragic motorcycle accident.  According to news sources, Corrales was riding a new motorcycle on Monday evening, when he hit the back of a car while trying to pass at a high speed  in a busy residential area. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:22 p.m.  Full Story

(MAY 7) In what could be described as just another pointless “title” bout that took place in women’s boxing, last night at the Hood Restaurant, in Nairobi, Kenya, bantamweight Fatuma Zarika, Kenya, TKO’d Iliana Boneva, Bulgaria, in the seventh round of a scheduled 10-round WIBF world title bout. (MAY 6) Last night at the at West Wind Karate studio in Berkeley, California, in an amateur bout,  Ronica Jeffrey won a five round decision over Ana Julaton.  Jeffrey was a bit quicker, landing more shots throughout the fight. (MAY 5) Last night at the Arena Savaria, in Szombathely, Hungary, Viktoria Milo, 110.5, now (18-5; 6KO's), of Budapest, Hungary, won in a very close ten-round split decision over Shanee Martin, 112, now (7-3 4KO's) of Colchester, England and defended her GBU female Flyweight Title.
