(MAY 6) Last night at the at West Wind Karate studio in Berkeley, California, in an amateur bout,  Ronica Jeffrey won a five round decision over Ana Julaton.  Jeffrey was a bit quicker, landing more shots throughout the fight. They both started out fast, which is probably typical for amateurs, and got tired in the last few rounds. 

Neither fighter was hurt in the fight. Julaton took more than she gave, though she was game. She was the hometown favorite and the crowd screamed "Hurricane" (her nickname) loud and often. Jeffrey was announced as the winner with no score given.

In attendance were a few players from the Golden State Warriors basketball team.  In addition, World champion Carina Moreno was ringside.
