(MAY 22) Last night at the  Etihad Arena, in Abu Dhabi. super featherweight Delfine Persoon,128¼, of Roeselare, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Elhem Mekhaled, 129¼, of Paris, France. (MAY 4) On the 30th of April, Lani Daniels defeated Sequita Hemingway by unanimous decision. The two will get another shot at each other on the 25th of June at The Plaza in Putaruru but this time for a New Zealand title.  Lani Daniels who is a descendant of Te Tai Tokerau, from Ngāti Hine which is part of the wider Ngāpuhi, fought against Sequita Hemingway on the 30th of April in her first professional boxing fight in two and a half years. The judges scored the fight 60-54, 59-55, 58-56 with all judges scoring Lani Daniels as the win. Before the fight, Lani Daniels was ranked 9th in the WBA.  Full Story
