Silvia Torres to Return to the Ring on November 16 October 31, 2013

(OCT 31)  Silvia Torres, the younger sister of the two time world champion Ana Maria “Guerrera” Torres is getting ready to return to boxing on November 16th in Guanajuato. Silvia has successfully recovered from an injury to her right hand. Accordingly, Silvia Torres Ramírez is now to follow the steps of her older sister who was the first female fighter to conquer the WBC Diamond belt.

(OCT 27) On a chilly October evening in Albany, New York, Jaci “The Force” Trivilino and “Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt heated up the Washington Avenue Armory with ten rounds of fist-flying action as a co-main event on Ares Promotions Fight Night XII “Ring of Fire” boxing card.  Lindsay Garbatt, 126, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, a former WIBA super-featherweight champion, is now covering her washboard stomach with the WIBA featherweight belt after pounding out a hard-fought majority decision victory over Jaci Trivilino, 125, Plattsburgh, New York. Amador Takes Jr Fly Female World Title and Serrano Wins #18 Source/Press Release October 26, 2013

(OCT 26) Temecula, CA: Before a big crowd of 1,532 boxing fans Friday night at Pechanga Resort Casino, Riverside’s Sindy Amador won her first world title with a hard fought 10 round unanimous decision over La Mesa’s Amaris Quintana on a Roy Englebrecht Promotions card.  Just one year since their first meeting in which Amador also won over a very talented Quintana, Amador who improves to 11-1, seemed stronger and more concise with her punches in winning 96-94, 97-93, 98-92. (OCT 26)  The International Boxing Association (AIBA) hosted its Annual Award Ceremony tonight, following the conclusion of the successful 2013 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Almaty.  All invited guests enjoyed a wonderful meal and entertainment provided in luxurious settings by the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation. The winners of the prestigious awards were presented with a magnificent trophy and certificate.  (OCT 24) On Friday night at the Washington Avenue Armory, Albany, New York, Lindsay Garbatt, will be fighting Jackie Trivilino in a ten round bout. The two will be fighting for the WIBA Featherweight title.  This is a rematch for Garbatt and Trivilino who fought to a draw in July 2013.

Boxing Results from Bulgaria  October 21, 2013

(Oct 21) Last night at the Boxing Hall, in Razgrad, Bulgaria, there were two female bouts on the card.  In one bout, lightweight Kremena Petkova won a six-round unanimous decision over Ivelina Ivanova. Final judges scores were 60-54 on all cards. In a second female bout welterweight Borislava Goranova won a four-round unanimous decision over Stefani Radeva. Final judges scores were 40-36.
