the Las Pulgas, in Tijuana, Mexico, in the mainliner, Alicia
"Slick" Ashley won by a fifth round TKO over Zenny
Sotomayor, in a scheduled 10 round bout. Ashley won the WBC Super
Bantamweight world title.
In a six round bout, "The Real
Million Dollar Baby" Maureen Shea won a six-round unanimous
decision over Lesly Morales in a super featherweight contest.
In a four-rounder, Carol Castro Madrid won a four-round majority
decision over Diana Gonzales.
Kenia Enriquez won by a six-round unanimous decision over Kareli
Lopez in the battle of the flyweights.
Brenda Flores won by a second round TKO over pro debuter
Guadalupe Bernal.
Lastly, debuting Christina Sarmiento was force to retire
in the second round of her six round bantamweight bout against
Sandra Robles; and debuting Tania Enriquez scored a first
round KO in her four round light flyweight bout with Dulce
Galaviz.
At the scales on Wednesday: Alicia
Ashley weighed in at 121 1/4, and her opponent Zenny Sotomayor,
same weight at 121 1/4. Other weights: Kenia
