(OCT 21)
TEMECULA, Calif. – – A night of hard driving,
Southern California-fueled boxing fights get underway at
Pechanga Resort & Casino on Friday, October 25 with doors
opening at 7:00p.m. and the first bell ringing at 8:00 p.m.
Englebrecht Promotions and David Arroyos Entertainment present a
lineup made up of professional boxers, nearly all of whom are
from the Southland, including the co-main event featuring a
rematch for the IFBA Junior Flyweight World Championship between
two ferocious female fighters, Sindy Amador of Riverside, Calif.
and Amaris Quintana of San Diego, Calif.
The IFBA said the following: "The IFBA is back again
with more championship boxing in the Golden State. The
world leader in international female fighting, IFBA is putting
on another title fight in California. On Friday, Oct. 25, Sindy
Amador battles Amaris Quintana for the vacant IFBA Jr. Flyweight
World Title from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA.
This is the first 10-round title fight for both women.
This fight isn’t just about the belt, but also about revenge.
Quintana’s (6-1-2, 1 KO) only professional loss came against
Amador 10-1, 1KO) last year and she wants that taste out of her
mouth. Amador is seeking to avenge her only professional loss –
a July defeat at the hands of former IFBA world champion Jolene
Blackshear. Each is coming into the ring with something big to
prove. Winner walks out a champion, loser risks being an
afterthought. The pair of Southern California boxers –
Amador hails from Riverside, Quintana from La Mesa - match up
well. Their first fight went the distance. Will the rematch?
Industry veteran Roy Englebrecht is promoting the fight. This is
the second IFBA title fight Roy Englebrecht Promotions has
handled this year."
The main event pits
Hector Serrano of Perris, Calif. against former IBA champion
Rogelio Castenada, Jr. of Tijuana, MX.
