(OCT 30) Last night, in Colima, Mexico, Ava Knight faced
Arely Mucino, in a title bout. Knight was victorious when
she stopped Mucino by KO in the second round! Knight
won the IBF flyweight world title.
WBAN congratulates Knight for stepping up to the plate with
a worthy opponent for a title belt. In
another female bout on the card, Maureen Shea, took on
another new boxer in the sport, stopping her opponent in the
fifth round.

Jaci ‘The Force’ Trivilino, 125, Plattsburgh, pounded out a
unanimous points win over the sledgehammer-fisted Angel
‘Non-Stop’ Gladney, 125, Columbia, SC in a lively scrap at the
Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY.
Trivilino’s two-fisted swarming attack to the head and body
proved too much for Gladney to handle as she was repeatedly
beaten to the punch. Jaci effectively avoided Gladney’s counters
by stepping laterally and countering with snappy right hands to

Creighton, a BBC Olympic sports reporter, the Amateur
International Boxing Association (AIBA) wanted the female boxers
to wear "skirts" instead of "Shorts". Creighton
wrote that during last year's World Championships, the AIBA presented
competitors with skirts, rather than the usual shorts, which it

of action at the 2011 Pan American Games on a historic Friday night
in Guadalajara. Female flyweight Christina Cruz (New York, N.Y.)

defended her WBC Flyweight title against Gabriela Bouvier,
