Moreno to fight Sharon Gaines in Salinas

(OCT 27) WATSONVILLE, CA - Carina "La Reina" Moreno (21-3, 6 KO's) has found an opponent in Sharon Gaines (11-12-1, 3 KO's) to challenge her this Friday October 28, 2011 at the Sherwood Inn Hotel in Salinas, California. The six-round bout will be at the agreed weight of 112 pounds and take place on the undercard of Eloy Perez vs. Ira Terry.

"I'm super excited that to be back in the ring," said Moreno. "The fight will take place in Salinas which is only about twenty minutes from my hometown of Watsonville. I'm hungry to get in there and give the fans a great show.

Rick Noble, Moreno's manager went on to say, "It was tough finding her an opponent but we got it done. I want thank Don Chargin, Golden Boy Promotions, Paco Presents and the Garcia Family for giving us the opportunity to fight on this card. Carina has been looking sharp in training and I expect her to shine on Friday."

Perez vs. Terry headlines a night of world-class professional boxing presented by Don Chargin Productions, Golden Boy Promotions and Paco Presents, and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate. Doors open at 6:00pm, the first bell rings at 7:00pm and the TeleFutura broadcast begins at 10:30pm ET / PT.
