(OCT 28) Last night in Copenhagen, Vinni Skovgaard won her fourth
pro fight against Zsófia Bedö of Hungary. Bedö made her pro debut,
and was thrown in at the deep end, against a very focused and
determined Vinni Skovgaard. Although Bedö showed good defensive
skills and kept her guard up well, she was not able to avoid
Skovgaard's combinations, nor did she manage to worry the Dane by
any telling punches.

(OCT 28) Last night in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in what was
described as a stellar fight, super bantamweight Marcela Acuna,
won by an eight-round unanimous decision over Claudia Andrea
Lopez. Judges scores were 77-75, 79-77 and 78-76. According to
one news source, López fought with a great deal of conviction and
gave a very good account of herself. The fight was over 8
rounds and neither woman´s belt was at stake.
