Who's That Girl?!! Time for Boxing Fans to have some fun with Who is Who!

(APR 30) WBAN has gathered up many female boxers child photos for boxing fans to have some fun matching the "Childhood" photo with the female boxer (hint) there is one that trained in boxing at the Mayweather Gym, but in fact is a photographer!  We will list all the female boxers names above the set of photos so you will know that those names are attached to one of the photos in  this segment.  Time to figure out Who is Who!

Ways Women Boxers Are Discovering How to Promote Themselves

(APR 29)  It took a long time for women’s boxing to finally gain the respect it so richly deserved. It was accepted by the British Boxing Board of Control in just 1998, and had Olympic status bestowed upon it in 2012, just in time for the likes of Katie Taylor to shine.
However, because women’s boxing for the main part has always operated as an amateur sport, it has taken women fighters a little longer to find their way in the pro game. Full Story

(APR 23) The 10 female finals of the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships were in the official schedule on the ninth day of the competition in Kielce, Poland. The Indian girls exceeded all of the previous expectations in the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships and their team achieved seven gold medals. Courtenay Wins by Decision over Bridges

(APRIL 10) Tonight at theCopper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney Wick, London, UK, Shannon Courtenay, 117.5, of Hertfordshire, UK, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Ebanie Bridges, 117, of New South Wales, Australia. The final scoring was 92-98, 94-97, and 92-98. Courtenay won the vacant WBA Bantamweight world title.

Savannah Marshall won by a third round KO
April 10, 2021

(APRIL 10) In a second female bout scheduled at the Copper Box Arena in London, Savannah Marshall, 159¼, won by a third round KO over Maria Lindberg, 154¾ in a scheduled 10 round bout. The two were fighting for the WBO Middleweight title. Marshall's original opponent tested positive for Covid, so Lindberg took the fight with about a week notice.
