(APR 26) "THIS BEGAN AROUND
7 YEARS AGO, THEY WERE AMATEURS AND WE DECIDED TO CONTINUE
WORKING THEM AS PROFESSIONALS."
How many times have we heard?
"Women's boxing does not sell, it is not the same, etc, because
today this is not the case. Well, a new company backed by a
Puerto Rican named Richard Borges called RB Management has come
to change the stigma of Women’s Boxing.
Over the years as a women's boxing analyst, this case caught my
attention, since this company is totally dedicated and focused
on “Guantes Rosas” (which is a Spanish term for Women’s Boxing),
and its goal is to continue support women in this Sport, as they
deserve.
Yesterday, Erika
Cruz, a fighter representing Mexico, and represented by RB
Management, defeated great Canadian champion World Boxing
Champion Jelena Mrdjenovich in a fight where she managed to win
the WBA featherweight title. The first world champion under the
RB Management umbrella.
If championships are to be super remarkable, the best that could
be perceived is the support that exists between these fighters.
Although there are lots of competitions among various countries
and more between Mexico vs Puerto Rico; this team is totally
different from the rest, because regardless of their
nationalities they support one another. The support on social
media is like one never seen before among teammates describing
the great family that RB Management is.
A totally innovative team and, above all, and most surprising
is, its endeavor to be discreet and to allow the boxers to be
the protagonists without any fear of investing in their future
is what is perceived of this company, since from the logistics,
personal image, clothing, education and other values they are in
charge of forming this unique great family in Latin America and
as I mentioned, the time I have dedicated to this sport and to
women's boxing itself this is something totally new and very
daring on the part of the company.
Personally, I know Richard as a friend on Facebook, but when I
talked to him about what I was interested in doing, apart from
congratulating him for what he has achieved so far, I received a
very kind treatment from him, which suggests where those human
values are born. that they implement in the company.
Puerto Rican Melody
Vargas great amateur journey in her career from the pride of RB
Management.
There are many
boxers and Melody Vargas and Litzy Adilene are two of the 15
boxers on the RB Management roster and the long-term plan is to
continue developing talented girls throughout Latin America.
"HERE IN RB RACIAL HATE AND XENOPHOBIA DOES NOT EXIST"
Words from CEO Borges that undoubtedly confirmed what is
noticeable outside of this institution, because they do not care
about nation, color, race, religion, the important thing is
respect, love and the desire to be able to get ahead. If you
comply with all that package, you are more than welcome to this
company, which due to its format and organization is unique in
America.
I really want to thank Richard for giving us (Mexico) one more
champion and for supporting her despite not being from her
country, just as I wish that each and every one of the female
boxers in his team can fulfill their goals to excel in life and
in the sport, that depends a lot on them while RB will be in
charge of supporting every fighter who accepts this project and
is part of their lives.
I want to give special mention to part of the great team that
not only Richard and the girls represent:
* Jonathan Gabriel
* Zoe Rodríguez
* Carolina Rodríguez
And the whole family that make up RB MANAGEMENT.
It was a pleasure to speak with this team and I will follow
their appreciable work more closely.
