Sue "TL" Fox,
multi-Hall of Famer, award-winning pioneer boxer rated #1 in the world in 1979, and
creator/founder of WBAN™. She was named in the
Feb. 2012 Commemorative issue of Ring Magazine as one of the
Top-Ten
Most Influential female boxers of all time.
Since its inception
on the
Internet 26
plus years ago, WBAN has become the world’s leading
authority for resource and information in female boxing. Fox outside
the
ring is a professional
musician and a retired police officer from Oregon.
She also created and founded the
International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame in 2014.
[In April of 2025, in Las Vegas, Fox will celebrate the 12th year
anniversary of the IWBHF, and 26th year of WBAN.]

decision over Marlene Esparza
(MAR 30) Last night in Cancun, in
Quintana Roo, Mexico
Yokasta Valle, 110 1/2, of Costa Rica, won a split 10-round
decision over Marlene Esparza, 113 1/2, of Texas. Final judges
scores were 97-93, 97-93, and 94-96. Valle is now 33-3-0 (10KO),
and Marlen is 15-3-0 (1KO). This was the first fight in 2025 for
both Valle and Esparza. |

Tiara Brown Becomes New WBC
Featherweight Champion
(MAR 24) In an interesting matchup on Saturday night at the
Qudos Bank Arena, in Sydney Olympic Park, Tiara Brown, 124 1/2,
of Florida, won a ten-round split decision over Skye Nicolson,
126, of Australia. The two were fighting for the WBC World
Featherweight Title. Final judges scores were 94-96, 93-97, and
96-94. Skye was defending her WBC Featherweight title.

enforcement as a police officer, with part of that time in

1998, she developed online Women Boxing Archive Network.
WBAN now houses one of the only archives of the sport
