(OCT 31) Belgian-born, French-based World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women's World Light Welterweight Champion Oshin Derieuw is in for a tough task when she makes her first title-defense on November 10 in her home-town of Henin-Beaumont.  Undefeated Derieuw, 9-0 (4), who won the WBF world title with a unanimous decision over Lina Tejada last April, takes on another Dominican in former IBF and WBA World Champion Dahiana Santana, 36-9 (15), headlining a show at the Espace Francois Mitterand. (OCT 24) On Friday night in Lublin, Poland, Ewa Brodnicka, 15-0-0 (2KO), of Warsaw, Poland, is set to fight Noziphon Bell, 8-1-1 (3KO), of Eastern Cape, South Africa. Brodnicka will be defending her WBO Super Featherweight world title, in a ten round bout. Ewa last fought in April 2018 against Sarah Pucek, where she won the title.

Katie Taylor Wins by Decision over Cindy Serrano

(OCT 22) On Saturday night, at the TD Garden, in Boston, Massachusetts, Katie Taylor, 134.5, of Bray, Ireland, won by a ten-round unanimous decision over Cindy "Checkmate" Serrano, 132.5, of Brooklyn, New York. Taylor was defending her WBA and IBF Lightweight titles. Final judges scores were 100-90 on all cards.

(OCT 17) Another female bout in Argentina, will take place this Friday, October 19th, at the Hindú Basquetbol Club, in Catamarca, Argentina, Jennifer Rasjido, 8-0-1 (3KO),of Catamarca, will face Soledad de Valle Frias, 13-12-4 (4KO), of San Luis, Argentina.  The two will be fighting a six-round bout. (OCT 15) Sarah Long has finally won her New Zealand (NZPBA version) Heavyweight title after a long year of waiting. Long won the NZPBA title by Unanimous Decision against Ashley Campbell. Sarah Long first fought for the title against the champion at the time Alrie Meleisea on November 11th, 2017 at ABA Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. The bout itself was a close fight, enough to get a split decision. However Alrie Meleisea won that bout with some people believing it was a controversial decision.....Full Story

New Zealand Boxer Geovana Peres Ranked number 1 in the World

(OCT 8) Brazilian born female Boxer Geovana Peres has become the number one ranked boxer in one of the Major boxing bodies, the World Boxing Association.   Peres who got her New Zealand Citizenship in July 2018, started boxing in 2015 as an amateur. After three amateur bouts, Geovana turned pro in 2017. Since then she won two New Zealand titles and became the first person from the LGBT+ community to win a New Zealand Professional Boxing title.  Full Story

Mexico: Enriquez Wins the Interim WBC Light Flyweight title over Graterol

(OCT 7) Last night at the Gasmart Stadium, in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, light flyweight Kenia Enriquez, 108, of Tijuana, 21-1-0 (9KO), won a ten-round unanimous decision over Norleidys Graterol, 108, of  Tejerias, Venezuela. The two were fighting for the interim light flyweight WBC World Title.

(OCT 4) This year Cecilia "The First Lady" Braekhus, 34-0-0 (9KO), of Norway, has had quite a year in 2018 thus far. On October 1, 2018, welterweight multi-world champion was honored at the WBC 57th Annual convention by being presented with the Guinness Book of World Records awards for three categories.  The categories were following: the longest Reigning Female Boxing Champion; the longest Reign as a Four-Belt Undisputed Boxing Champion; and the Most Bouts undefeated by a female World champion boxer.   Full Story

Erica Farias to Defend her WBC World Title against Jessica McCaskill
