(MAY 30) On June 18, 2005, at the Win-River Casino, in Redding, California, Valanna McGee, now 9-2-1 (4KO), will be fighting tough veteran Jayla Ortiz of New Mexico, in a title fight at 130 lbs.  McGee just defeated Amber Gideon on May 27^th,  at the Arco Arena in Sacramento. (MAY 2) Kristy Rose Follmar, who is not only an excellent pro boxer, but she is also a long distance runner.  Follmar will be running in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon on Saturday, May 7, 2005. Team Follmar told WBAN, "Probably not every day a championship boxer takes on a marathon. I believe the mini marathon is 14 miles." Good Luck Kristy! 

(MAY 2) This weekend, at the Isle of Capri Casino, in Lula, Mississippi, on April 30,  Christy Martin, now 45-3-2 (32KO), stopped Lana Alexander, now 2-7-0, when Martin dominated the first round, and then halfway through the second, Lana gave up, according to WBAN sources, adding another KO to Martin's boxing record.  In the second women's bout,  Cassandra Lindsey won a majority six-round decision over Cristy Nickel.  More to come...
