Champion Chavez Ready To Meet
Vela in First Title Defense

(MAY 6) Fire Inside Productions announced today that Audrey Vela of Austin,
Texas will meet IFBA Super Bantamweight Champion Jackie Chavez at the
Ohkay Casino on Sunday, June 12, 2005.
The Chavez vs. Vela World Title bout will fill out New Mexico's first
women's world championship doubleheader ever presented in that State.
Ross Sanchez, the promoter for the card, also announced that Vicente Garcia
will take on Jeremiah Torres in an eight-rounder; Monica Lovato will fight a
TBA; Michael Connelly will fight Isaac Brown in a four-rounder at 130; and
Beto Perez will fight a TBA on the undercard.
The IFBA looks forward to a great night of women's boxing.
