Natasha Jonas Continues to Make Her Mark in the Sport!

(APR 30) This month, in what was a tough test with one of her most challenging opponent, on April 21,  Liverpool's 2012 Olympian Natasha Jonas, 129½, now 6-0-0 (5KO), won by a seventh round TKO [1:44], in her first scheduled ten round bout over Taoussy L'Hadji, 128¼, now 5-7-1 (0KO), of Oise, France. The closely fought battle between these two were very close on the scorecards, until Jonas stopped her after she threw a barrage of combinations, which ultimately led to the referee stopping the fight. Jonas collected her first title when she won the vacant WBA International Super Featherweight title.  Full Story

Mexico:  Mariana "Barbie" Juarez Wins by Decision and Successfully Defends her WBC World title Belt!

(APR 30)   On Saturday night at Miguel Hidalgo Gymnasium in Puebla, Mexico, bantamweight Mariana Juarez, 117¾, of Mexico City, Mexico, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Carolina Arias, 118, from Escazu, Costa Rica.  The two were fighting for the WBC Bantamweight title. Juarez retained her WBC world title belt for the fourth time defending her title.  The boxing event was promoted by Promociones del Pueblo with the support of Cavall Sport and Playboy México, televised on Televisa Deportes.  Full Story

(APR 29) Last night at the Shaw Conference Centre, Edmonton, Canada, in front of a sold-out crowd, Jelena Mrdjenovich, 126, had her 50th professional bout, winning by a unanimous decision against Stephanie Ducastel, 125.5, of France. Mrdjenovich retained her WBC featherweight world title.  This was a rematch for the two, when they first time fought on July 1, 2017, the two fought to a draw.  Full Story

Center, Louisville, Kentucky, super featherweight Alycia Baumgardner, 131.5, of Fremont, Ohio, won a six-round split decision over Kirstie Simmons, of Aurora, Colorado.
