Lukas Wins Non-Title Bout After Surprising Stoppage

(FEB 4) On Friday, January 31st at the International Boxing Center in Moscow, Russia, International Boxing Organization (IBO) super flyweight champion Angelina “Barbie” Lukas of Kazakhstan won a non-title bout against Ayisat Oriyomi of Nigeria in an event titled "IBA Champions’ Night."  This fight marked a significant moment in Scotney's career as she defended her undefeated record while simultaneously handing Motu her first professional setback. With the IBF, IBO, and WBO World Super Bantamweight titles on the line, anticipation was high, and the fighters did not disappoint.  Boxing fans anticipated the clash between these two talented boxers. However, the fight took an immediate turn when an accidental head butt resulted in a cut above Scotney's eye during the first round. Maria Guadalupe Atilano Gomez, 118 3/4, won a six-rounder by a unanimous decision over Maria Martinez Sandoval, 116 1/2.  Final judges scores were 60-54, 59-55, and 60-54.  In a second female bout, Esmeralda Cielo Gonzalez, 113 1/4, won a second round by TKO over Yessica Margarita Ortiz Oviedo, 114 1/4.

January 19, 2025 - Next Generation Fight Club, Landau, Rheinland-Pfalz, Landau
Lena Venjacob, 132 1/2, won by a second round TKO over Betina Krumholz, 150 1/4, with the bout scheduled for four rounds.  What is with the weight difference....?

January 18, 2025 - Gimnasio Champs Boxing, Medellin, Colombia
Ogleidis Suarez, won by a second round TKO over Neisi Torres.  The bout was scheduled for six rounds.

January 18, 2025 - Polideportivo Municipal Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, San Miguel del Monte
Mia Soledad Nieves, 114 3/4, won a six-round bout by a majority decision over Micaela Natalia Torres, 114 3/4.  The final judges scores were 57-57, 59-55, and 60-54.

January 18, 2025 - Sociedad de Fomento El Lucero del Alvear, Villa de Mayo
Victoria Oriana Saputo, pro debut, 132 1/2, won by a fourth round TKO over Veronica Gisele Garcia, 130 3/4.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

January 18, 2025 - Philadelphia
Kali Reis promoted her second professional boxing event titled “Elite Fight Night” which was again at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event was live streamed on the BXNG TV website. There were three women’s bouts on the fight card. WBC No. 1 ranked featherweight contender Tiara Brown of Fort Myers, Florida faced Calista “La Tormenta” Silgado of Colombia in a fight scheduled for eight rounds. Silgado has gone the distance against many world-class boxers. Silgado went the distance against Jennifer Han and Cindy Serrano which were for world featherweight titles. Silgado had the best win of her pro career in October 2023 when she fought Stevie Morgan for the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) world lightweight title.  Silgado won by majority decision to win her first world title. Morgan is currently rated No. 20 by the International Boxing Organization (IBO) in the super lightweight division. Full Story

Victoria Oriana Saputo, 132 1/2, making her pro debut, won by a fourth round TKO over Veronica Gisele Garcia, 1301/4, also making her pro debut.

January 18, 2024 - 2300 Arena, Philadelphia
There were three female bouts on the card.  In one bout LeAnna Cruz, won by a second round TKO over Amy Naert, The bout was scheduled eight rounds.  In a second female bout, Shera Mae Patricio, won a four-rounder over Josefina Vegas---final judges scores were 40-35 on all cards.  In a third bout Tiara Brown won an eight-round unanimous decision over Calista Silgado.  No further details at this time.

Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions kicked off the 2025 Season of The Best Monthly Boxing Series in Grand Style on Friday night in front of a sold-out Commerce Casino Events Center and broadcast live globally on UFC FIGHT PASS, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.  WBO super flyweight world champion Mizuki Hiruta, (7-0, 2 KOs) of Japan made her highly anticipated U.S. debut in great form stopping Mexican veteran Maribel ‘Pantera’ Ramirez, (15-11-4, 3 KOs) of Mexico City in the eighth round of their scheduled ten rounder. Fast rising female star ‘Right Hook’ Roxy Verduzo, (3-0, 1 KO), making her highly anticipated return to Hollywood Fight Nights, thrilling her legion of fans with a third-round stoppage of Lindsey Ellis, (2-2, 2 KOs), of Pleasant View, TN. Fighting in one of the best bouts of the night, female junior flyweights Gloria Munguilla, (7-1), of Los Angeles and Coachella native Brook Sibrian, (5-2) went to war throughout their eight rounder. Engaging quickly in the middle of the ring from the opening bell, both women set the tone for the fight. Trading violent shots throughout with the crowd standing on their feet cheering loudly, Munguilla took control of the action in the sixth round with her more effective punches landing solidly. The final round proved the best of the fight as both women fought to the end, each landing tremendous power shots. Scores at the end of an early ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate were in favor of Munguilla; 79-73 and 77-75, twice.  Full Story

Lilia Cherifi, won a six-round bout over Francesca Taylor. Final judges scores were 60-54 on all cards.

January 11, 2025 - Club Alumni, Roque Perez, Argentina
Romino Garro, 117 1/2, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, won a four-round majority decision, over Victoria Manuela Romero, 117 1/4, also from Buenos Aire. Final judges scores were 40-36, 39-37, and 38-38. Romero now has five straight losses as a professional with a 0-5-0 record.  Garro is 1-1-0. 

January 11, 2025 - Park Community Arena, Sheffield, UK

Caroline Dubois, 134 1/4, had a Draw-TD in the third round with Jessica Camara, 134. The two were fighting for the WBC Lightweight world champion. In a second female bout, Ellis Price, 136 1/4, won by a first round TKO over Liam Fitzmaurice, 136.

January 11, 2025 - York Hall, Bethnal Green, UK
Sara Orszagi, 1-5-0, of Ajka, Hungary, won a four-rounder by points over Ruth Huntley, 113 1/4, of London, UK. Ref scored it 37-39.
 

January 11, 2025 -  XPOST, Cologne, Germany
Anja Moskil, 160 1/4, of Germany, won a four-round unanimous decision over Rosa Maria Acosta Carrion, 153, of Roma, Italy.  Final judges scores 36-40, 36-40, and 37-39.

January 4, 2025 - Hotel Nongshim, Busan, South Korea
Kyung Joo Bae, 125 1/2, of Changwon, South Korea, winning her first professional bout, when she defeated
Hyun Hee Lim, 125 1/4, of Busan, South Korea.  Kyung won by a fourth round unanimous decision over Hyun Hee Lim.  The final judges scores were 37-39, 36-40, and 37-40.  Kyung is now 1-2-2 (0KO), and Lim is 0-1-0.
