(JAN 26) In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Ellie Scotney secured a unanimous decision victory over New Zealand's Mea Motu on January 25, 2025, at the Nottingham Arena. This fight marked a significant moment in Scotney's career as she defended her undefeated record while simultaneously handing Motu her first professional setback. With the IBF, IBO, and WBO World Super Bantamweight titles on the line, anticipation was high, and the fighters did not disappoint.

Boxing fans anticipated the clash between these two talented boxers. However, the fight took an immediate turn when an accidental head butt resulted in a cut above Scotney's eye during the first round. Despite this unexpected injury, Scotney demonstrated remarkable resilience and instead of letting the setback deter her.
