(MARCH 26) The Night Mea Motu became the NEW New Zealand National (NZPBA Version) Lightweight champion, after stopping Tania Reid in the third round.  Undefeated boxer Mea Motu has improved her record to 6 wins with 3 wins coming by way of knockout after taking on the Australasian Champion Tania Reid. Mea completely out-powered and out-punched Tania, knocking Tania Reid down every round till referee John Conway waved it off in the third round. This is the first professional boxing title Mea Motu has won in her career so far. Full Story

(MAR 26) Last night at the  Plaza del Quinto Centenario, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano won by a ninth round KO over Daniela "La Bonita" Bermudez. (MAR 8)  I am deeply concerned that even in 2021 we are still having questionable title fights with one opponent that may be ranked high enough to possibly qualify for a belt and the challenger being ranked so low, you would have to look up just to look down. Mossely Won by Decision over Kaiser--winning the IBO Title

(MAR 6) Last night at the H Arena, Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France, Lightweight Estelle Mossely, 134, of Bagnolet, Seine-Saint-Denis, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Verena Kaiser, 134¼, of Cologne, Germany. The two were fighting for the IBO Lightweight title. Final judges scores were 93-97, 92-98, and 92-98.

(MARCH 4) Super Welterweight Marianne Ahlborg, of  Gothenburg, Sweden, began boxing later in life a the age of 21 years old.   She also was very active with other different sports during her whole life, and one in particular was participating in soccer. Ahlborg told WBAN, "I got tired of that and decided to try something new and I thought that boxing would suit me as I always have loved hard physical training and have always been a strong and tough girl."  Full Story

(MAR 1) First-ever New Zealand LGBT professional boxer Diane Beazley has officially announced her retirement from the sport.  Maori boxer Diane Beazley is one of New Zealand’s pioneers in women’s boxing. She discovered boxing at the young age of 14 years old. She was introduced by her father Eddie Beazley who had a couple of professional boxing fights himself..Full Story
