Sarah Bormann Wins by a Unanimous decision over Perla Perez
June 24, 2023

(JUNE 24) GERMANY - Today in Ludwigsburg MHP Arena, in  Ludwigsburg, Germany Sarah Bormann remains undefeated at 17-0-0 (7KO), won by a ten-round unanimous decision over Perla Perez, now 6-8-1 (1KO).  The final judging on the fight was 96-94, 97-93, and 98-92.  Retained the WBC title & won the IBF miminumweight titles.

Ramla Ali takes a first loss as a professional

(JUNE 18) Last night at the Smoothie King Center, in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the undercard, Ramla Ali, 122 lbs., from Greenwich, London, in the United Kingdom entering the ring as undefeated with a 8-0-0 (2KO) was stopped last night by a KO in the eighth round by Julissa Alejandra Guzman, 121, who goes by the ringname of “La Roguera” of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, in a scheduled ten-round bout. The two were fighting for the IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title. Ali went down in the fifth round and then the eighth round of the bout. Full Story

(JUNE 12) The second Maori world boxing champion Cherneka Johnson lost her second world title defence over the weekend in the UK against Ellie Scotney.  On the 10th of June (11th NZ time), Cherneka Johnson (Ngāti Ranginui) defended her IBF World Super Bantamweight title at the famous Wembley Arena. JUNE 11) Last night at the Casino Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Maylerin Rivas, 121¼, of Maracaibo, Venezuela, fought to a Draw by TD, where the fight stopped in the fifth round after Rivas had an accidental headbutt with her opponent, Nazarena Romero, 121½, of Cordoba, Argentina. (JUNE 3) Melissa "Honey Girl" Del-Valle---as she was known in the boxing ranks, with her uncompromising style to made her  one of the most decorated women’s boxer in the history of the sport.  5’5” Melissa was born in Queens, New York. As a child growing up on the tough streets of Queensbridge, she used sports as an outlet. Melissa never backed down from a challenge. She was an athlete and a fighter in the streets before becoming one in the ring. When her three brothers played stickball, baseball, basketball or football, they always picked her to be on their team.   Full Story
