(JUNE 7) LAS VEGAS – We are
very proud to announce that at our
Pre-Celebration “Night of the
Star” International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame event on our
first day of our event, Friday, October 6th, 2023 from 1:00 pm
to 4:00 pm, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada,
we will be honoring three active professional female boxers who
are all world champions. They are some of the longest
professional boxers in the sport who
have fought 25 years plus.
The following night on Saturday
October 7, 2023, is the “Night of the Stars” IWBHF Induction
Ceremony Dinner event, where we will celebrate honor our 2023
and 2024 IWBHF Inductees, along with our other Special Award
Recipients.
With Layla "Amazing" McCarter----she is celebrating 25 years as a
professional boxer, with having had 63 professional bouts and
continues to fight as a pro, in addition being an
eight-time multi-world champion.
Chevelle "Fist of Steel" Hallback, also a
multi-world champion, boxing as a pro for 26 years, with having
44 fights. Hallback is a history-first WBAN P4P Belt
holder when she fought Jeannine Garside on a televised show in
June of 2008. Hallback and Holly Holm won the first-ever WBAN

Olivia "The Predator" Gerula who has been active as a pro for 26
years. Olivia is a former WBC super featherweight World
Champion, the WIBA intercontinental champion and the UBF
intercontinental champion. She has fought 43 bouts, and in eight
different countries. Olivia told WBAN, "It's truly been an
incredible journey so far."
Also at our pre-celebration event we have two other Special
Award Recipients. In one of the awards, we have Jamie Johnson, a pioneer
female boxer who fought in
the history-first all-female boxing card that took place in the
United Kingdom in 1994. She is traveling from the UK to be
honored with this special elite award. Also we will honor Michael O’Neill
of Ireland who unfortunately passed away and was a long-time
journalist for WBAN for his year after year contribution to the
sport as a writer.

This will be the first year that we have made our event into a
two-day affair. This year is a special year celebration for us,
that not only is our 10th year anniversary of the IWBHF, but our
25th year for WBAN. Check out the
