(AUGUST 26) Last at the Gila River Arena, in Glendale,
Arizona, Junior lightweight Mikaela Mayer, 129¼, of Woodland
Hills, California, won by a third round [2:00] RTD, over Edina Kiss,
128½, of Budapest, Hungary, in a scheduled six round bout.
Mayer remains undefeated with a 7-0-0 (4KO), and Kiss is now 14-8-0
(8KO). The bout was televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

(AUG 25) Tonight at the Struer Arena, in Struer, Denmark, Dina
Thorslund, 121½, of Copenhagen, Denmark, won by a ten-round
unanimous decision over Jessica "La Gacela" Munoz, 120½, of Sonora,
Mexico. The two were fighting for the vacant WBO Super
Bantamweight Title. Final judges scores were 90-100, 90-100,
and 91-99. The card was promoted by SPAG - Nisse Sauerland.

(AUG 25) Last night at the Club Huracán, Tres Arroyos, Buenos
Aires, Argentina, super flyweight Evelyn Bermudez, 109.5, of Santa
Fe, Argentina, won a six-round unanimous decision over Natalia
Alderete, 112.5, of Tucuman, Argentina. Bermudez has remained
undefeated now with a 9-0-0 (2KO). Alderete's record fell to
3-2-0 (1KO).

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, there were seven female bouts on
the All-Female boxing card. The results were the
following: For the vacant OPBF Female Bantamweight title,
Miyo Yoshida, 117.5, won by a fifth round TD [1:39] in a
scheduled eight round bout, over Gretel de Paz, 116¼, of Tokyo,
Japan. Final judges scores were 49-46 48-47 49-46.

(AUG 21) London's female boxer Annie Newton, was born in 1893 in
Highgate, North London, and passed away in 1955. Annie began
appearing in stage shows and fairground tents, at the young age of
10, and in that show she would spar with men, to raise money for
various charities. She boxed for 14 years. Annie not being very
healthy in her early life and she claimed that boxing training saved
her from an early death.

(AUG 19) Last night at the Club Britania, in Chihuahua,
Mexico, in one bout in a ten-rounder Anabel Ortiz, 105, won a
ten-round unanimous decision over Yenifer Leon, 104. Ortiz
successfully defended her WBA Strawweight title. Final judges scores
were 91-99, 92-98, and 93-99. There was a second female bout
scheduled on the card but results are still not in at this time.

mainliner, there was a 6-round 47.5kg catch weight fight between
Masae Akitaya (current OPBF Female Atomweight Champion) and Floryvic
Montero from Philippines. Akitaya won by a close majority decision.
