Clash between the "The Heavy Hitting Diva" vs. the "La Diva"

(AUG 19)  On September 13, 2018, there is some exciting news on the horizon when featured along with the mainliner of Pablo Cesar Cano vs. Ruslan Madiev, there will be a female bout with Franchon "The Heavy Hitting Diva" Crews-Dezurn, 3-1-0 (1KO), vs. Maricela "La Diva" Cornejo, 12-2-0 (5KO).  The two will be vying  for the Interim WBC Super Middleweight Championship.  The two will be fighting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it may be on ESPN, we will confirm that information when it is available.

Franchon has been fighting professionally when she made her pro debut against Claressa Shields, a two-time Olympic Gold winner in 2012 and 2016.

Franchon Crews has been in the amateur game since 2004, when she discovered boxing as a way to lose weight. She is an eight-time U.S. Champion, and has represented Team USA in numerous international competitions, including Continental and World Championships, and the first PanAmerican Games open to women boxers in 2011. Franchon made a comeback of her own when she failed a drug test in 2008, and returned to the ring after a two-year suspension. In a rapidly changing and advancing field, no other U.S. boxer has ever mounted such a successful campaign.

Franchon has given back to her sport by serving on the USA Boxing Judicial Commission, and was recently named to the United States Olympic Committee’s Athlete Advisory Council.

Maricela Cornejo has been boxing professionally since August 14, 2012, when she fought Mia Henderson.

According to Wiki, they said, "Cornejo is a former WBC international female super middleweight title, winning the title in 2015 against Latashia Burton at Mana Studios in Miami, Florida.[1] Eight months later, Cornejo fought for the vacant WBC World female Middleweight title against Kali Reis at The Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.[2] She lost the bout by a controversial split decision, however she did make history by being part of the first major world title fight that was held in New Zealand.
