(FEB 27) Jazmin Rivas of Torreon,
Mexico, has just finished up a month of training in the states, she
worked out with Carina Moreno, of Watsonville, California. Rivas is
was preparing to fight Jackie Nava, of Mexico, on February 29, 2008,
at the in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, for an Interim 122 lbs.
belt.
There is a news article that reported on Boxeo Latino that
this fight is actually “postponed” with some reported problems with
Nava in regard to some medical issues.

In this report, it states that Rivas will be fighting Lina Ramirez
in a non-title eight rounder. In the article they reported that this
the Nava-Rivas fight will take place at a later date, when Nava is
in better health and passes the medical examinations.
