(NOV 30) This is the initiation of a procedure which can
lead to the withdrawal of recognition for the AIBA. The
decision came after AIBA had submitted a Progress Report to the IOC,
as required by the EB decision of 19 July 2018, detailing its
current situation regarding governance, financial management and
sporting integrity. Today, the EB acknowledged AIBA’s progress and
its commitments highlighted in its Progress Report, but several
points of significant concern remain, in particular in the areas of
governance, ethics and financial management. This requires further
investigation and the opportunity for AIBA to respond to any

DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel, Aberdeen, Scotland,
UK, super bantamweight Kristen Fraser won by a fifth round Ellen
Simwaka. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds. The two were
fighting for the vacant Commonwealth (British Empire) Bantamweight
Title. In a second female bout, in the lightweight division Elaine
Greenan won a four-rounder by points over Vaida Masiokaite.

Frederiksberg Hallerne, in Copenhagen, Denmark, featherweight Sarah
Mahfoud, 126.5, of Hilleroed, Denmark, won an eight-round unanimous
decision over Stephanie Ducastel, 130, Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France.
Final judges scores were 72-80 on all cards. This is the third fight
this year from Mahfoud, with her having three straight wins this
year.

more weight categories at the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Championships
in Delhi, India. It was the turn of lights of Fly (51 kg), Feather
(57 kg), Light Welter (64 kg), Middle (75 kg) and Heavy (81+kg)
boxers to entertain the crowd, and 8 countries saw their boxers
progressing to Saturday’s finals. A total of 13 nations will be now
digging for gold on Saturday in what promises to be one of the most

(NOV 17) Flyweight Virginia Fuchs (Houston, Texas) started
her 2018 Women’s Elite World Championships tournament with a
dominating performance on the first day of competition from New
Delhi, India.
Fuchs stepped into the ring against a familiar foe, Tetyana Kob of
Ukraine, who she faced on the international stage before. However,
Fuchs was too strong from the Ukrainian, taking all five judges
