All-Female Boxing Card Featuring nine pro bouts!

(NOV 23) On Tuesday night, at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, there was an all-female pro boxing card, featuring nine bouts on the card.  These are the quality of cards that we would like to see in the United States and other countries.  

In a contest for the Japan Female Atomweight, at 102 lbs., in a six-round bout Nanae Suzuki, 101, won by a majority decision over Sayaki Aoki, 102. Final judges scores were 59-55, 59-55, and 57-57.

In a battle between Mont Blanc Miki vs. Yumiko Shimooka,
Mont Blanc Miki, 105, won by a six-round unanimous decision over  Shimooka, 104.5, who went down once in the fifth round. Final scores were 58-55, 59-55, and 59-55.

In a six-round scheduled bout, in the flyweight division, Marina Sayama, 112, won by a fourth round [1:31] KO over Chan Mi Lim, 110¾, from Korea.   Chan-Mi Lim went down once in the first round, and Marina Sayama went down once in the third round.

For the vacant WBA Female Atomweight Interim title, Ayaka Miyao, 101.5, of Tokyo, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Nao Ikeyama, 100. Ikeyama went down once in the first round.  Final judges scores were 97-92, 97-92, and 96-93.

Minimumweight Mizuki Chimoto, 105, won by a third round [0:51] TKO over Kannika Bangnara, 103, from Thailand, in a scheduled six-round bout.

Featherweight Akane Fujiwara, 124.5, won by a four-round majority decision over Rimin Shimano, 124.5. Final judges scores were 39-37, 39-37, and 38-38.

Bantamweight Aira Midorikawa, won a four-round unanimous decision over Rena Koizumi, 117.  The judges  scores were 39-36, 39-36, and 39-37.

In a four-round bout, at the Light flyweight division, Nanako Suzuki, 107.5,  won by a unanimous decision over Sachiko Kondo, 108. Final judges scores were 39-38, 39-37, and 39-37.

Lastly, in a four-rounder in the minimumweight division, Rena Takahashi, 105,  won by a second [0:34] TKO over Watcharin Khodam, 103.5,  from Thailand.
