(JUNE 29)  LAS VEGAS, NV -  Earlier today we have confirmed that we will be having Pioneer Female Boxer Pioneer, Pat Pineda, the HISTORY-FIRST to receive a boxing license in the state of California!
The IWBHF/WBAN will be giving Pat Pineda a Special Recognition award for her  historical accomplishments as a pioneer female boxer to receive the first professional boxing license in the state of California in 1976. (JUNE 29) Two World Boxing Federation (WBF) championship fights will headline at the Steve Tshwete Banquet Hall in Middelburg, South Africa on Friday July 8.  In a fight for the vacant WBF Women's World Super Bantamweight title, Matshidiso Mokebisi fights undefeated Katie Healey from England.  Full Story

(JUNE 29) NEW YORK --Split-T Management fighters Trinidad Vargas and Mary Spencer scored big knockouts over the weekend.
Vargas made a memorable pro debut by stopping Josh Aarons in round two of their scheduled four-round super flyweight bout at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.  Vargas hurt Aarons with a hard right hand that was followed by two lefts that sent Aarons to the canvas, and the bout was stopped at 2:31.  Vargas, who turned 19 last week, started boxing at age 6 and had his first fight at age 8.  Full Story
 

Adelaida Ruiz vs. Sonia Osorio in Rematch for WBC Interim Super Flyweight Championship

(JUNE 27)  Adelaida “La Cobra” Ruiz (11-0-1, 6 KOs) will have her second opportunity to challenge for the WBC Interim Super Flyweight Championship when she faces Sonia Osorio (15-7-2, 4 KOs) in 10-round a rematch on Friday, July 29 in San Jose, Costa Rica.  The fight will be featured on a MarvNation Promotions card. Last Night's Boxing Results for Female Boxing

(JUNE 25) Last night we had several fight results that came in from out of the USA to results in the USA.  In Buenos Aires, Argentina, Super flyweight Clara Lescurat, 112 3/4, from Buenos Aires, remained undefeated when she won a ten-round split decision over Maribel Ramirez, 112 3/4, of Mexico City, Mexico. (JUNE 25) The 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games is just around the corner with the opening ceremony happening on the 28th of July. The 72 countries are expected to participate this year, for them, it's almost as big as the Olympics, especially for boxers where the Olympics may not host Boxing anymore. Professor McLaren and representatives of the Governance Reform Group also joined the meeting. Meeting Up With Darlene “Princess Blue Bird” Buckskin in Crescent City, California

(JUNE 19) On June 5, 2022, I traveled down to Crescent City, California, to meet up with Darlene “Princess Blue Bird” Buckskin pioneer female boxer, a history-making professional boxer, as she and her sister, Theresa “Princess Red Star” Kibby were the first ever Native Americans to receive a professional boxing license in the mid 1970s, when female boxing was just beginning to make it’s own footprints in the sport.  Full Story

IBA opens bidding process for World Boxing Tour events 2023-2024

(JUNE 18)  The International Boxing Association (IBA) has opened the bidding process for World Boxing Tour (WBT) events for 2023-2024. During that period there will be six key WBT events which are planned to offer points towards Olympic qualification. (JUNE 7) Very quick update for Boxing Fans....I traveled to Crescent City, California and did an extensive on-camera interview with Pioneer Boxer Darlene Buckskin...Then returned to Portland, and left the following day to New York, and visiting and interviewing the Icon of the 1970s-80s pioneer boxer - Lady Tyger Trimiar, and am taking off tomorrow to Syracuse, New York, to attend the International Boxing Hall of Fame!  

Why is this for a world title? This is no more than a lukewarm "tune up" fight

 (JUNE 1) Congratulations to Belgium's Delfine Persoon - WBAN's June 2022 Fighter of the Month! Persoon recently had a fantastic win in an action-packed 10-round bout, winning by a close unanimous decision. Delfine Persoon hit the 50 pro fight mark in her career, besides working as a police officer when not boxing.
