(JUNE 29)  LAS VEGAS, NV -  Earlier today we have confirmed that we will be having Pioneer Female Boxer Pioneer, Pat Pineda, the HISTORY-FIRST to receive a boxing license in the state of California at our event to accept her prestigious award.

[Side note  Be on the lookout for this upcoming Sky Documentary....Pat Pineda, along with Lady Tyger Trimiar, Cathy "Cat" Davis, Sue TL Fox and more have been included in the documentary, entitled,  "Right To Fight"...It is part of the upcoming Sky Documentaries.  It  is the untold story of the pioneers of women’s boxing, who defied sexism and racism for their place in the ring.  Press Release]

The IWBHF/WBAN will be giving Pat Pineda a Special Recognition award for her  historical accomplishments as a pioneer female boxer to receive the first professional boxing license in the state of California in 1976. For your trailblazing efforts---you opened many doors for other female boxers to pursue their dream in the sport.

The premier celebratory event in Women’s boxing, the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, has scheduled it’s ninth event on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year is the largest class of inductees being inducted----16 IWBHF Inductees!   This is the second consecutive year the event will be held in the country’s boxing capital and “celebration 2022” IWBHF event expects to continue to draw a full house attendance that has epitomized this event since it’s inception.

Other Historical Footprints at the IWBHF Ceremony to take place at this event:

Pioneer female boxers Darlene Buckskin will be honored with a  special award when she and her sister Theresa Kibby will be awarded the history-first Native American female boxers to be licensed in the California.

In an interesting history-first  we have a daughter, retired world champion Tracy Byrd, and mother Rose Byrd being inducted into the hall of fame at the same time.

And…for the first time…. we will be inducting a boxing commissioner. Rose Trentman, who served many years as a New York Boxing Commissioner is one of our elite 16!

In a First time in history-----Twin sisters both will be in the IWBHF hall of fame. Dora Webber was inducted in 2021, and her twin Cora Webber in 2022!

Our other 2022 IWBHF inductees are Thomas Gerbasi, Jimmy Finn,
Susianna Kentikian, Fredia Gibbs, Brooke Dierdorff, Delia Gonzalez, Yvonne Reis , Hannah Fox Tori Nelson, and Margaret Sidoroff.

In addition there will be special award presentations, recognizing contributions to the sport, made to Lupi Beagle Gutierrez, Eddie Montalvo, Jerry Hoffman (Posthumous); Along with that a Lifetime Achievement award that is going to Bonnie Canino.

We also confirmed earlier today that our 2021 IWBHF Inductee Valerie Mahfood, who is the only one to have stopped Ann Wolfe by TKO in a third round will be officially inducted at the 2022 Cermony. 
We have Sharon Anyos and Marischa Sjauw as tentative at this time.

who is part of our IWBHF event who will be utilizing his talents as an artist to present some beautiful rendition (s) of our 2022 event.

We have also for a second year talented singer “The Wy Mac” who was featured on “Ireland’s Got Talent” to perform our “theme” song of the 2022 Celebration!

In addition to the above, at this time, our Special Guests and celebrities, and Speakers, Melissa Smith, popular author of the "History of Women's Boxing" and historian that will be giving the intro presentation of each of our inductees;  Iconic boxing celebrity Christy Martin who is affiliated with our IWBHF event, “Christy’s Champs”, retired world champion Lisa Holewyne; Layla "Amazing" McCarter, Shelley Williams, Mary Ann Owen,  Kathy Collins, Amy Green, Luis Tapia; retired World champion Wayne McCullough, his wife Cheryl McCullough; retired world champion Chris Byrd; Jill Morley, producer/director of “Fight Like a Girl” Productions; Brenda Zaragoza; top past photographer history-making Linda Platt;  Blanca Gutierrez (three-time Hall of Famer, and founder/president of the Beautiful Brawlers; retired multi-world champion and hall of famer Daisy Lang (who will be one of our key speaker); hall of famer with the IWBHF Sumya "The Island Girl" Anani, Sindy Amador, J’Marie Moore, retired pro boxer and daughter of Archie Moore; Los Angeles photographer Nate Wren, and many more!

Jake Gutierrez will once again bring his unique talent to the MC mic, a position he has graced since 2015, along with Christy Martin and Lisa Holewyne conducting a raffle as part of the Christy’s Champs program. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The October 22, 2022 semi-formal induction ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., with the popular meet/greet with the honorees and invited special guests along with the now traditional signing of the 7’ high historical banner by every female boxer.
