Keisher McLeod-Wells won the vacant WIBA flyweight title,
Saturday night, outpointing a game, determined Monica Flores
over ten rounds at the top of Ronson Frank's Uprising
Promotion's six bout card before a sellout crowd at the Five
Star Banquet Center in Long Island City, NY. Two of the
undercard bouts featured New York female fighters; Eileen
Olszewski, who is in the process of putting a successful cap on
a professional ring career that has positioned her near the top
of the flyweight division for most of her professional career
and Jennifer Santiago, who exhibited the type of ring skills
that may portend future, similar success for her in the

biggest Club tournament for females took place at the weekend in
the Swedish town of Borås when boxers from all over Europe – and
beyond - came to demonstrate their skills at the 2014 Golden
Girl Box Cup Championships.
The Golden Girl Box Cup as always was open to all female boxers
in all categories, Youth, Junior and Elite . The tournament was
founded by Ray Husac and Lina Erlandsson and back in 2009, some
70 of the best female boxers in Europe came to fight for the title

Champions are Crowned in All Four Age Divisions in Reno

(JAN 12) (RENO, NEV.) – The 2014
Junior and Youth Open concluded with 35 outstanding championship
bouts at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev., on Saturday
afternoon. Final round competition was contested in all four age
groups on the final day of tournament action in Reno.
Saturday’s final round action showcased a mixture of returning
champions reclaiming gold medals and newcomers upsetting the
sitting titlists. In the junior division, 2013 World
Championships silver medalist Daniel Gonzalez (Moreno Valley,
Calif.) won his second straight Junior Open title in junior
men’s flyweight division with a unanimous decision over hometown
boxer David Marfil (Sparks, Nev.)

the country have been zeroed in on their preparation for the
2014 Junior and Youth Open, January 5-11 at the Grand Sierra
