Eri Matsuda, a
Japanese professional boxer that currently is the WBA, and WBO
Atomweight champion. She is set to fight on November 23,
2024 against WBC Champion Tina Rupprecht of Germany, in a
ten-round bout. The two will be fighting a championship
unifiation bout for the WBA, WBO and WBC world titles.
Tina is 13-1-1 (3KO) and Eri is 7-1-1 (3KO) going into the bout.
Eri Matsuda has
held the WBA and WBO female world atomweight titles since
January 2024. Eri made her pro debut on August 20, 2018.
In that event, it was an all-female card that took place at the Korakuen Hall,
in Tokyo, Japan. In an all female card. In the fifth fight
on the card, Matsuda, 102, of Kanagawa, Japan, won a
six-round unanimous decision over Sana Hazuki, 101.5, of
Fukuoka, Japan.

professional bout that took place on December 1, 2018, at the EDION Arena Osaka, Osaka, Japan, Matsuda,
101 1/2, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Minayo Kei,
101 1/2. Final judges scores were 79-72 on all cards.
On March 13,
2019, at the
Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan,
Matsuda, 101.5, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Nanae
Suzuki, 101.5. The two were fighting for the OPBF & Japanese
Atom title.
On
September
12, 2019, at the
Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, Matsuda fought for the Japan
Atomweight 102 lb. title, where Matsuda, the champion won by a
TKO.
On March 18, 2021,
at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, Atomweight
Saemi Hanagata, 101¼, had a ten-round majority draw with
Matsuda. The two were fighting for the IBF Atom title.
On September 1,
2022, at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan, in a second
female bout, Kaori Nagai, 101 3/4, won an eight-round unanimous
decision over Matasuda, 102. Final judges scores were
94-96, 94-96, and 95-95. The two were fighting for the IBF Atom
World Title.
On June 13,
2023, at the Korakuen Hall, Japan, Matsuda, 105 1/2, won
an eight-round unanimous decision over Nanako Suzuki, 105 1/2.
Final judges scores were 79-93, 80-72 and 79-73.
On January 12,
2024, at the Korakuen Hall, Japan, Matsuda, 101 3/4, won a ten-round split decision over Yuko
Kuroki, 101 1/2. The two were fighting for the WBO Atom World
title. Final judges scores were 97-93, 94-96, and 96-94.
