Ellie Scotney, was born on Mary 16, 1998, reigning out of the
United Kingdom is a unified world champion as a Super
Bantamweight with the IBF, WBC, and WBO. Scotney has held
the IBF Super Bantamweight title since June of 2023. She has
also held the WBO title since April of 2024, and the WBC Super
Bantamweight title since July of 2025.
Scotney comes from the amateurs and has won many accomplishments
before turning pro. In one of her accolades she won the
2017 ABA Championship. She also competed at the 2018 world
championships.

February 2020, it was announced that Scotney had signed a
long-term promotional contract with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom
Sport. Her debut was scheduled for March 28, 2020, at The
O2 Arena, London, and was to be televised live on Sky Sports in
the UK and streamed on DAZN in the US, as part of the undercard
for Josh Kelly vs. David Avanesyan. After the event was
cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Scotney made her debut
on October 17th, against Bec Connolly."

Connolly, 125.
On March 20, 2021, in her second bout, she fought Mailys
Gangloff, at the Wembley Arena, in Wembley, UK, winning in a
six-round decision by points.
On October 30, 2021, she then fought Eva Cantos, 122 3/4,
at the 02 Arena, in Greenwich, winning an eight-rounder by
points.
In the next year, on February 20, 2022, Scotney fought her first
10 round bout when she won by a unanimous decision over
Jorgelina Guanini, 119 1/2.

On May 21, 2022 at the O2 Arena,
Scotney, 121 1/2, won a 10-round unanimous decision over
Maria Cecelia Roman, 121 1/2.
On October 29, 2022 - at the Wembley Arena, in Wembley, Scotney won a ten-round unanimous decision over Mary Romero for the
EBU European Super Bantamweight title. She was on the same card,
as Katie Taylor, who won a
ten-rounder in defending her IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO Lightweight titles over
Karen Elizabeth Carabajal.
On June 10, 2023, at the Wembley Arena, Wembley, United Kingdom,

second Maori world boxing champion Cherneka Johnson lost her

in Wembley, UK,
Scotney, 121 1/2, won a ten-rounder over Laura Griffa for the IBF Super
Bantamweight Title.

On April 13, 2024, at the
Manchester Arena, Manchester, England,
Scotney, 119 1/4, won a ten-round unanimous decision
over Segolene Lefebvre, 121 3/4, winning the IBF and
WBO Super Bantamweight world title belts. Final judges scores were
96-94, 99-91, and 97-93.

On January 25, 2025, at the Nottingham Arena. Nottingham,
this fight marked a significant moment in Scotney's career as she defended her undefeated
record while simultaneously handing Motu her first professional setback. With
the IBF, IBO, and WBO World Super Bantamweight titles on the line, anticipation
was high, and the fighters did not disappoint. Boxing fans anticipated the
clash between these two talented boxers. However, the fight took an immediate
turn when an accidental head butt resulted in a cut above Scotney's eye during
the first round. Despite this unexpected injury, Scotney demonstrated remarkable
resilience and instead of letting the setback deter her.
