 (JULY 22)  On Friday night,  July 20, 2019, at the Complejo Deportivo Teniente Origone, Justiniano Posse, Cordoba, Argentina, super flyweight Carla Ayelen Merino, 115, making her pro debut, from Cordoba, won a four-round unanimous decision over Juliana Basualdo, 113¾, of Cordoba. (JULY 15) On July 12th, at the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan, Naoko Fujioka, 112, and Tenkai Tsunami, 111¾, both out of Tokyo, had a ten round draw. Fujioka was defending her WBA Flyweight title. Alicia Holzken won by decision for the GBU and WIBF Flyweight titles July 6, 2019

(JULY 1) The 2nd European Games ended in Minsk, Belarus on Sunday and both GB Boxing and Team Ireland had many medals to display when they arrived back on home soil.
