(FEB 28) Katie Taylor takes on Italy’s Monica Gentili at Super Featherweight on Saturday at London’s iconic London’s O2 Arena and has described this opportunity as ‘the stuff that dreams are made of’.

Norway:  Cecilia Braekhus Wins by Decision over Klara Svensson

(FEB 25) Cecilia Braekhus, 146¾, Bergen, Norway, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Klara Svensson, 145.  Braekhus was defending her WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO welterweight world title.  Final judges scores were 91-99, 91-99, and 90-100.  WBAN has just posted the full fight of the bout. Mayela Perez Captures WBF World Championship In Mexico

(FEB 19)  Mexican veteran Mayela “La Cobrita” Perez captured the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World Atomweight title on Saturday night, February 18, at the Arena Pavillion del Norte in her home-town of Saltillo, beating undefeated compatriot Maryan Salazar. Using her vast experience, Perez boxed very disciplined and controlled the action on the inside with sharp punching to the head followed up by precise shots to the liver. (FEB 13) The British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) are set to introduce hand held Infra-Scanners, that can detect Brain bleeds, at events sanctioned by themselves in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Gleason's Gym:  All-Female Boxing Clinic and Show - April 13-15 2017
