(FEB 13) TIJUANA ---On
Saturday night at the Gimnasio Municipal Gustavo Díaz Ordaz,
Tecate, Baja California, Mexico, in an exciting action-packed
fight, Sandra "Perla Negra" Robles, now 17-2-0 (9KO), of
Tijuana, won by a fifth round TKO over Maria Soledad
Vargas, 4-2-0 (0KO). The two were fighting a six rounder
in the light flyweight division.
According to news media sources,
the boxing fans who witnessed the demolition of Vargas, chanted
and acknowledged the heart and bravery of Vargas who tried to
box throughout the fight.
At the end of the fifth round, the doctors of the H. Commission
of Box of Tecate did not let Vargas continue to fight.
It was reported that Vargas' face was swollen, and inflamed, and
she complained about shoulder, hand and ribs in pain..
Robles next bout is scheduled for Friday, March 10, at the Grand
Hotel in Tijuana, where José Gálvez will join "As Negro", Brenda
"La Bonita" Flores and Jorge Marrón Jr.
