(AUG 25) Last night at the Kent North Imperial Centre, Richibucto,
New Brunswick, Canada, heavyweight Annie Mazerolle won a six-round
unanimous decision over Giovanna Gonzalez. Final judges scores were
60-54, 59-55, and 59-55. In a second female bout, flyweight Jani
Babineau, won a four-round unanimous decision over Brenda Balderas.
Final judges scores were 40-36 on all cards.

(AUG 20) Yesterday morning, WBAN received some very sad news
about retired professional boxer, Vicki Woods. Vicki Woods of
Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, was born on February 21, 1963.
She passed away earlier this week. In her time of fighting as
a professional boxer, she had 23 fights and she absolutely avoided
no one in the ring---fighting many of the top female boxers from her
career that spanned from 1997 - 2001 with a 9-11-3 (6KO) record.
