(AUG 9) Last night at the Caribe Royale Resort, in Orlando Florida, Most Valuable Promotions delivered a great night for women’s boxing with MVPW-05, capturing multiple world championships and showcasing top global talent. 

Dina Thorslund-Took back her world titles bouts to Denmark

In the highly-anticipated main event, Denmark's undefeated Dina Thorslund put on a clear domination in all-ten rounds against Australia's Cherneka "Sugar Neekz" Johnson of her undisputed bantamweight crown.

Thorslund put on a clinical, ten-round pacing demonstration. She controlled the center of the ring, timed her counters beautifully, and cleanly swept every single round.

It was a mystery to hear some of the comments by commentators saying that Johnson may have won this round, that round--when even watching the fight from a TV screen it was obvious that Dina won all ten rounds.  At the end of the fight---judges scored the fight 100-90 on all cards.

In the co-main event, Canada’s two-time Olympian Tamm Thibeault dethroned unified middleweight champion Desley Robinson to reach the pinnacle of her division in just her fifth professional fight.

Robinson having the heart of  a lion stuck in there and showed how tough she was through 10-rounds of a grueling fight. 

It was the bloodiest of all the female bouts, when Robinson had a bloody nose, but then there was a accidental headbutt (perhaps not sure what happened) and it struck Tamm's nose and she had a fairly severe nose bleed from that incident. 

In the first round of this bout, it almost looked like Tamm was going to make the fight a short fight when she had Robinson near the ropes throwing heavy bombs on Robinson. But Robinson did prevail through that first round, and then it did go the distance.  The size of these two were significant different where Tamm stands at 6 foot tall with a significant reach advantage, and Robinson stands at 5'8". 

Robinson was defending her IBF and WBO Middleweight World titles. The judges scored had the fight 100-90 on all cards. WBAN concurs with that scoring on this bout.

On this card, fans tuning who may have been looking for some wild, back-and-forth slugfests the fights in general for the female bouts did not have that dramatic tensions, and at times felt one-sided and the pace was slow. 

Rounding out the night's top tier was Amanda Galle, who put on her own disciplined throughout her fight against Shurretta Metcalf. Galle used superior footwork and constant lateral movement to outmaneuver Metcalf over the distance, ensuring MVP’s rising prospect ranks stayed secure.

The consensus across WBAN is that three of these boxers, Thorslund, Thibeault, and Galle,  were standouts in their fights last night.  MVP continues to bring out the best in women's boxing and it is amazing to see what they have managed to do with the sport!
