WBAN has just added Emma Dolan to our
Boxers Profile segment.
This is a female boxer that came from small-town prodigy to fighting globally.
Emma Dolan, born in 1998, is a professional super-flyweight boxer.
Renowned for her technical ring generalship and relentless work ethic, she
remains one of the influential figures in the modern era of British women’s
sports.
Dolan, the Norfolk-born trailblazer who has transitioned from a nine-year-old
dreamer in Lowestoft to one of the Queens of the Super Flyweight division.
Dolan’s journey is a masterclass in discipline. After a stellar amateur
career—highlighted by her 2016 Gold at the British Youth Championships—Dolan
signaled her professional arrival in 2021 with a 53-second debut stoppage.
It was a statement of intent that the super-flyweight division couldn't ignore.
In a move that defined her "boxing first" mentality, Dolan uprooted her life to
Newark to train under Carl Greaves. The sacrifice paid immediate dividends. By
2023, she became the inaugural Commonwealth champion. However, it was her
historic 2024 split-decision victory over Shannon Ryan that etched her name in
the record books as the first woman to hold the British and Commonwealth titles
simultaneously.
Dolan’s dominance isn't confined to the scorecard. Following a tactical
masterclass against Lauren Parker at the iconic York Hall in April 2025, she has
solidified her status as the domestic gold standard.
On April 5, 2026, on a Skysports televised card, she prepared to challenge
IBF World Champion Irma García at the London Olympia in 2026. Garcia
won the bout against Dolan.
Before her fight with Garcia, she said, "I don't just want to win belts; I
want to build a path."
"From the Lowestoft Amateur Boxing Club to the world stage, this journey is
about showing every young girl that the ring belongs to her, too," added Dolan.
