(APR 6) Following her victory over Terri Harper on April 5, 2026, Caroline
Dubois didn't hold back when discussing a potential unification bout with Alycia
Baumgardner. While respect was hard to find in the post-fight presser, the
competitive fire between the two is clearly at an all-time high.

Dubois Makes Her Case
Caroline Dubois was vocal about her desire to face Baumgardner, though her
critique was pointed. She raised concerns regarding Baumgardner's past drug
testing controversy, suggesting that those issues have cast a shadow over
Baumgardner's recent performances. Dubois categorized her rival’s standing in
the division as questionable, stating, "She knows the situation... she hasn't
looked the same lately."
Dubois is eager to get the fight signed quickly, noting, "That’s the fight I
want by the end of the year; there’s no need to waste time." She even took to
social media to bridge the gap: "Let’s stop the talk—we need this fight. Let's
make it happen!" As for a prediction? Dubois expects a definitive, "brutal"
finish.
Baumgardner’s Counter-Punch
Alycia Baumgardner was quick to dismiss the challenger’s performance, viewing
the recent win as less than impressive. During a live reaction, Baumgardner was
seen mocking the bout, at one point calling the matchup a "joke" and using
wordplay on Dubois’s name to dismiss her standing.
Baumgardner sent a direct warning via social media, telling Dubois she wasn't on
her level yet. "Don’t even mention my name," Baumgardner posted, suggesting that
Dubois is still "way down the line" compared to the "proven names" Baumgardner
is targeting, such as Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.
WBAN will keep boxing fans updated on this possible Grudge Match and feel it
would be a very interesting matchup.
