Code Red Alert
at Madison Square Garden

February 11, 2008

(FEB 11) Cristy "Code Red" Nickel of New York, NY, will make her New York debut in style on the James Moore undercard at Madison Square Garden on March 15th. Nickel will be fighting a four-rounder against Philly's own Olivia Francesca. The two will be fighting at 151 lbs.

Nickel took some time off from boxing to film an MTV show, move to Manhattan and start her own business. Once her life was in order, she teamed up with Nigerian trainer Ngo Okafor and signed with David Selwyn of Boxing Kid Management late last year.

While Code Red transitioned back into boxing, Selwyn worked hard to get her a fight. The perseverance for both parties paid off. Selwyn was able to get her on a card at the most famous and historic of all venues. Nickel told WBAN that she is very excited and anxious to make her come-back.
