APRIL 2015

April 30, 2015 - Club Regent Casino & Event Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
livia Gerula, now 16-14-2 (3KO), 124, of Winnipeg, won by a 10-round majority decision over Simone Da Silva Duarte, 124, 14-8-0 (6KO), of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The two were fighting for the vacant WIBA Featherweight title.Two judges scored the fight in favor of Gerula, 97-93 and 98-92, while a third had it 95-95, a draw.  Gerula told WBAN, "What a fight! After 10 hard fought rounds I won by split decision: Official score: 95-95; 97-93; 98-92 .  Simone was a tough opponent and she was definitely gunning for me. But I kept the pressure on and worked her body at every opportunity.
The packed Winnipeg crowd got everything they were cheering for in the action packed championship worthy show. I am so proud to be the new WIBA champion!!   I turned 36 at midnight (may 1st) showered, cleaned up, put on a dress and heels along with my pretty new baby blue belt and celebrated at the after party - couldn't think of a better way to start off what will surely be a fantastic year!"

April 29, 2015 -  Osaka, Japan
Anabel Ortiz  won by a 10-round unanimous decision over Nana Yoshikawa. The two were fighting for the WBA Strawweight Title.

April 25, 2015 - Helsinki, Finland:
Eva Wahlstrom won the vacant WBC super featherweight title with a ten round unanimous decision over Natalia Karen del Valle Aguirre. 

April 25, 2015 - Sternensaal, Berne, Switzerland
Delfine Persoon, 133, of Belgium successfully defended her WBC Lightweight title, against Nicole Boss, 133, of Switzerland, by a ninth round TKO.  This was a rematch for the two, when in the first fight that took place in 2011, Nicole had lost by a 10-round unanimous decision.

April 25; Royan, France:
In a bantamweight six rounder, Megan Ouvrad won a unanimous decision over Melanie Mercier.

April 25, 2015 - Club Union y Progreso, Tandil, Argentina
Fernanda Soledad Alegre,  139½, won the vacant WBO super lightweight title with an eight round TKO over Enis Pacheco,138¼ .

April 25, 2015 - Hornslet, Denmark:
Bantamweight Dina Thorslund won a six round unanimous decision over Bojana Libiszewska.

April 25, 2015 -  Berne, Switzerland:
Delfine Persoon retained her WBC lightweight title with a ninth round TKO of Nicole Boss.

April 24, 2015 - Tijuana, Mexico:
Marta Branas won a super flyweight four over very late substitute Cristina Sarmiento by a quick TKO (0:34 of the first round.)

April 19, 2015 - Fürstenwalder Hof, Fuerstenwalde/Spree, Brandenburg, Germany
Alicia Melina Kummer, 135¼, won by a first round KO over  Gabriela Olahova, 130.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

April 18, 2015 - County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas, USA
Jennifer Han, 125, won a 10-round unanimouis decision over Fatuma Zarika, 125.  Han won the vacant IBF Inter-continental Featherweight title.

April 18, 2015 -In Legionowo, Poland
In a lightweight four, Oleksandra Siderenko won her debut bout by unanimous decision against another debut boxer, Bojana Libiszewska.

April 18, 2015 - Main Street Armory, Rochester, New York
Melissa "Huracán Shark" Hernandez, 138¼, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Ashleigh Curry, 138¼. The final judges scores were 77-75, 78-74, and 78-74. Hernandez improved her record to 20-6-3 (6KO), and Curry is now 6-0-4 (1KO).

April 17, 2015 - Chubut, Argentina
In a featherweight eight, Lizbeth Crespo  handed Brenda Karen Carabajal her first loss with a points victory.

April 11, 2015 - Colonia, Uruguay
Chris Namus won a six round bout at super welterweight by unanimous decision over Roxana Beatriz Laborde. In a second super welterweight bout between two debut boxers, Melany Andrade won a majority decision over Fabiana Lopez.

April 11, 2015 - Binche, Hainaut, Belgium
Zelda Tekin, 143¼,  won by a first round KO over Fanni Lili Windishmann, 141. The bout was scheduled for six rounds.   In a second female bout, Djemilla Gontaruk,  125¾, won by a first round TKO over Melitta Ignac, 125¾.  In a third female bout, Yolaine Lin De Lauf, 115¼, won a six-round unanimous decision over Claudia Ferenczi, 112.  Final judges scores- 53-60 on all cards. 

April 11, 2015 - Nord-West-Halle, Offenburg, Germany
Lucia Morelli, now 19-5-0 (9KO), of Offenburg, Germany,won by a second round KO over  Sanja Radin is more than likely a mismatch.  Radin is now 0-1-0.

April 11, 2015 - Sluneta, Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic
Fabiana Bytyqi, 106.5, won by a second round TKO over Agnes Draxler, 103 3/4.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.  In a second female bout, Lucie Sedlackova, 125 3/4, won a four-round unanimous decision over Alexandra Gorog, 126.

April 11, 2015 - Centro de Usos Multiples, Sinaloa, Mexico
Jessica Chavez won a ten-round unanimous decision over Norj Guro, the two were fighting for the WBC International light flyweight title.

April 11, 2015 -  Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York
Heather Hardy fought to a "no contest with Renata Domsodi, when an (third round) accidental headbutt took place on Domsodi.    The two rescheduled to fight in an eight rounder for the WBC International super bantamweight title.

April 11, 2015 - Laredo Energy Arena, Laredo, Texas
Christina Fuentes,  111½, won a six-round majority decision over Mayela Perez, 108¼.  The final judges scores was 57-57, 59-55, 58-55.

April 11, 2015 - Salle Ampere, Vendome, Loir-et-Cher, France
Super bantamweight Jessica Vargas won a four-round unanimous decision over Elisabeth Alonso. 

April 11, 2015 - Gimnasio Municipal Jesús García López, Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico
Flyweight Maria Ramirez won a six-round unanimous decision over Viridiana Vazquez Perez.

Megan Ouvrard won a four-rounder by points over Melanie Mercier in the flyweight division.

In a lightweight six rounder, Vivian Obernauf remained undefeated  with a unanimous decision over Kalia Kourouni.

April 4, 2015 - Complexe sportif, Belleville sur Loire, Cher, France
Super bantamweight Jessica Vargas won a six-rounder by points over Jasmina Nadj.

April 4, 2015 - Twin River Event Center, Lincoln, Rhode Island
Shelly Vincent, 122,  won a 10-round unanimous decision over Christina Ruiz, 121½.  Vincent was defending her UBF super bantamweight title.

April 4, 2015 -  in San Justo, Argentina
Luna del Mar Torroba won by majority decision over Alejandra Soledad Morales in a six round super flyweight contest.

April 3, 2015 - Club Sportivo America, Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina
Lightweight Victoria Bustos, 135¼, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Betiana Vinas, 135¼. The final judges scores were 79-77, 79-77, and 79-77.

April 3, 2015 - Osaka, Japan
In a minor upset, Tamao Ozawa  won a split decision and handed Terumi Nuki her first loss in an eight rounder for the UBF flyweight title.

April 3, 2015 - Belgrade, Serbia
In a flyweight six rounder, Nina Stoyanovic spoiled the debut of Jovana Trifunjagic with a points victory.

Gabriella Mezei,  120¾, of Budapest, Hungary, had a 10 round Split Draw with Melinda Zsiga, 117.5, also from Budapest.  Final judges scores were 94-96, 97-94, and 95-95. They were fighting for the vacant Hungary Super Featherweight title.

In a bantamweight six rounder, Kori Farr finally got a win as she bested Lee Dittmar in a unanimous decision.

In a welterweight four, Judit Suran TKOed Klaudia Vigh in the second round.In the featured bout, a super featherweight ten for the Hungarian Title, Melinda Zsiga and Gabriella Mezei fought to a draw.

In a featherweight four rounder, Karina Jasso won a majority decision over America Guerrero.

Undefeated Angelique Duchemin in an eight rounder, won the French Female super featherweight title by TKOing Bilitis Gaucher  in the second round.

March 27, 2015 - Gimnasio Santos "Falucho" Laciar, Cordoba, Argentina
Cristina del Valle Pacheco, 127, won a four-round unanimous decision over Tamar Nunez,  125¾. Final judges scores were 39½-38½, 39½-38½, and 39½-38½.

March 27, 2015 - Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico
Karina Jasso, 123, won a four-round unanimous decision over America Guerro, 123.

Maria Cecilia Roman, 120¼, won a four-round unanimous decision over Johana Sanchez, 124.

Jelena Mrdjenovich, 126, of Edmonton, Canada, won by a ninth round TKO over Francia Bravo, 125, of Cerete, Colombia.   Mrdjenovich was defending her WBC Featherweight World Title in this ten round scheduled bout.

March 21, 2015 - Centro de Convenciones, Tlalnepantla, México
Ibeth Zamora Silva, 112, of San Cristóbal Huichochitlán, México, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Suri Tapia, 109¼, of Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico. Final judges scores were 99-91 on all cards.

Super bantamweight Karine Rinaldo, now 12-1-1 (3KO), of Marseille, France, won a six-rounder by points over Jasmina Nadj, now 5-6-1, of Subotica, Serbia.

March 14, 2014 - Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico
Yazmin Rivas, 118, now 32-8-0 (9KO), won a 10-round unanimous decision over Celina Salazar, 118, 6-2-2 (1KO).  Final judges scores were 90-100, 91-99, 92-98.

March 14, 2015 - Naucalcan, Mexico
For the WBC International super flyweight title, Naoko Fujioka -- won a split decision over Mariana Juarez. In a lightweight four rounder, Mayra Mariano Martinez won a unanimous decision over Guadalupe Periban.

Super lightweight Ewa Brodnicka, 135½, 7-0-0 (2KO), won an eight-round unanimous decision over Gina Chamie, 135¾, Budapest, Hungary, Final judges scores were 72-80, 73-79, and 72-80.

Super lightweight Cristina Cuevas, 2-4-1, of Santa Fe, Argentina, had a four-round draw with Gisela Ledezma, of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Nydia Feliciano, now 8-6-3, Bronx, New York, won a six-round split decision over Noemi Bosques, now 8-2-2 (2
KO), in what was described as an action-packed six-rounder between these two.

Patricia "Boom Boom" Alcivar, now 8-3-1 (3KO), of Queens, New York, won a six-round unanimous decision over Peggy Maerz, 2-7-1, of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada.  Final judges scores were 54-60, 55-59, and 55-59.

In a flyweight six, Alexandra Vlajk won a unanimous decision over Zsanett Pakozdi. And in a super welterweight six, Eva Kolos  won a unanimous decision over Eva Nemeth.
