July 27, 2013 -Schuetzen Park, North Bergen, New Jersey
Nydia Feliciano, 117, of Bronx, NY, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Crystal Hoy, 118, of Las Vegas, NV, for the IWBF Bantamweight world title. Final judges scores were 91-99, 91-99, 91-99. *

July 27, 2013 -  In San Luis Potosi, Mexico
In a bantamweight bout (scheduled rounds not known) Naroyuki Koasicha won a first round TKO over Arlette Martinez.*

July 27, 2013 -  In Lincoln, Rhode Island
In a four round bantamweight bout, debuting Marcia Agripino won a unanimous decision over Vanesa Greco.*

July 27, 2013 -  In Pomona, California
In a featherweight four rounder, debuting Maia Stevenson managed to get a split decision draw with Heather Clark.

July 27, 2013 - Kaspiysk, Russia
Natalia Smirnova emained undefeated with a third round TKO win over Veronika Hornyak.

July 27, 2013 - Palenque de la Fería, Chihuahua, Mexico
Jessica "Kika" Chavez, 113, of Mexico City, Mexico, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Tenkai Tsunami, 111½
, of Tokyo, Japan.  Unknown if this was a non-title fight, or if Chavez was defending her WBC Silver light flyweight title.

July 27, 2013 - Pretoria North Town Hall, Pretoria, South Africa
Light middleweight Liz Butler, 153½,  won by a second round TKO over Nancy Kadiake, 142¾.

July 27, 2013 - Barangay San Dionisio Covered Court, Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Strawweight Jessebelle Pagaduan won a third round TKO [1:38] over Carleans Rivas, 105.

July 26, 2013 -  In San Vicente, Argentina
Carolina Raquel Duer won the vacant WBO bantamweight title with a ten round unanimous decision over Mayra Alexandra Gomez.  In a second eight round bantamweight bout, Carolina Rodriquez remained undefeated at 8-0 with a unanimous decision over Forencia Roxana Canteros 3-4-1.  Full Video of Fight

July 26, 2013 -  Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs, NY
“Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt, 125, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, battled fan-favorite, Jackie “The Force” Trivilino, 126, Plattsburgh, NY, over eight hotly contested rounds at Ares Promotions Fight Night XI.   Dispensing with her usual swarming style, Trivilino opened the show boxing from long range keeping her physically stronger opponent at a comfortable distance while initiating the exchanges by firing off punches in volume. Trivilino was successful with this tactic in the first stanza while Garbatt mostly concentrated on keeping her defense tight while finding her timing after nearly a year hiatus from the ring.  Full Story by Mark A. Jolene Blackshear, 106, now 8-3-0 (3KO),  won an eight-round split decision over Sindy Amador, 107, 10-1-0 (1KO),  in an eight round bout for the WIBA Flyweight title. This was Amador's first loss as a pro to this tough veteran boxer Blackshear.  Scores: 74-76 | 76-74 | 76-74

July 25, 2013 -Tokyo, Japan
Tomomi Takano won over Yokkhao Loeicitygym from Thai by unanimous decision. The final judge scores were 39-37, 40-36, 40-36

July 23, 2013 -  Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan
Anabel Ortiz, 27 years old, now 12-3-0 (2KO), of Tepic, Mexico, won a 10-round split decision over previously undefeated Etsuko Tada, 32 years old, now 12-1-2 (2KO), of Kyoto, Japan.  Tada was defending her WBA [105 lb.] strawweight belt.   In a second, female bout, Bantamweight Marina Isami won her first pro bout, when she defeated pro debuter Chisa Tanaka.  Isami won by a four-round unanimous decision.  Photos

July 22, 2013 - Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan
35-year old Naomi Yamaguchi, of Tokyo,  faced 31-year old Chuthaporn Pradissan, [Ploysuay Sakrungruang] of Bangkok, Thailand, in an super flyweight eight rounder non-title bout.  Yamaguchi was originally tentatively fighting Daniela Bermudez,  but according to our sources,  the contracts for a unification title failed in the negotiations.  In Yamaguchi's fight with Pradissan, Yamaguchi won by a first round [1:56] KO over Pradissan.  In the semi-final of this event, 37-year old Kayoko Ebata, of Tokyo,  won over 26-year old Cho-Rong Son, of Seongnam City, South Korea, by a unanimous decision, and Ebata won the belt that was vacant, and became the new OPBF flyweight champion. Featherweight Melanie Zwecker won a four-rounder by points over pro debuter Avira Betti.

July 21, 2013 - Sportova hala MSO, Šturovo, Slovakia
Bantamweight Gabriella Roman, of Hungary, won by a first round TKO over Dorina Kapler, pro debuter, of Hungary.

July 20, 2013 - Armadillo Flea Market, Houston, Texas
Super featherweight 27 year old Lucia Osegueda, now 2-0, won a four-round unanimous decision over Teresa Chacon, pro debut. Final judges scores were 40-36. 

July 20, 2013 -Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland
Tyrieshia Douglas, 110, now 3-0-0, a native of Washington D.C.  won a four-round unanimous decision over Marisol Miranda, 112.5, of Florida.  We were told that Douglas had scored a knockdown in the third round, but that Miranda stayed in the fight. 

July 20, 2013 -  Paysandú, Uruguay
Scheduled for ten rounds for the WBA lightweight title, Cecilia Comunales TKO'd  Marisol Reyes at 0:48 of the first round.

July 19, 2013   Racing Club, in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Yesica Bopp, now 25-1-0 (11KO), of Buenos Aires, Argentina,  successfully defended her two flyweight (WBO and WBA) world titles when she defeated Anastasia Toktaulova, now 14-12-0 (2KO),  of Leesburg, Florida, by a 10-round unanimous decision.  

July 19, 2013 - Molambo, Columbia
Featherweights Diana Ayala,  126, and Glenis Varona, 125¼, fought to a six round points draw. Also, in a super flyweight six rounder, Bantamweight Olga Julio, 115, had no trouble dispatching Jennifer Perez, 114, with a third round TKO.

July 19, 2013 - Pal Pal Gymnasium, Nairobi, Kenya
Featherweight Sarah Achieng  [1:36] TKO'd winless Susan Andeso, in the second round of a scheduled four round bout.

July 19, 2013 - Struovo, Slovakia
In a welterweight Gina Chamie, 141½,  remained undefeated with a first round TKO of Gabriella Bohoni, 149½.  The fight was scheduled for six rounds.

July 19, 2013 - Cherokee Hard Rock Casino, Catoosa, Oklahoma
Super bantamweight Kathina Catron, 121, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma [DOB/10-14-1985], won by a first round TKO over Tiffany Alexander, 122, [DOB/1980-09-24].

July 17, 2013 -Las Pulgas, in Tijuana, Mexico
Brenda Flores, 112, now 4-1-0 (1KO), of Tijuana, won a four-round unanimous decision over Carol Castro (Madrid), 111¼, of Sonora, Mexico. Final judges scores were 40-36 on all cards.

July 17, 2013 - Hotel Veneto, Panama City, Panama
Luiciel Quiel, 110, won by a DQ, fourth round over Zuliana Mendoza, 111. The fight was scheduled for six rounds.

July 15, 2013 - VBK Gym, Vecsés, Hungary
Light Middleweight Rita Kenessey won by a second round TKO over Beata Salgo, making her pro debut. The fight was scheduled for four rounds.

July 13, 2013 -  Forum Tecate, in Tijuana, Mexico
Maureen Shea, now 21-2-0 (11KO), of Bronx, New York, won a four-round unanimous decision over Silvia Jimenez, now 5-2-0 (4KO), of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico.

July 13, 2013 - Club Defensores de Villa Lujan, San Miguel, Tucuman, Argentina
Marcela Acuna, of Argentina, 125.5, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Melissa "Huracan" Hernandez, 124 1/4, of Miami Beach, Florida, USA. The two were fighting for the WBO female featherweight title eliminator.
Video Link....In another bout, Alejandra Soledad Morales, 123, had a four-round draw with Cecilia Mena, 126.  Lastly  Vanesa Lorena Taborda, 113¾ won a four-round bout by points over Guadalupe Maria Antonia Maldonado, 114¾.

July 13, 2013 - La Villita Maverick Plaza, San Antonio, Texas
Christina Ruiz, 118,  won a 10-round unanimous decision over Christina "Mandy" Fuentes, 115¾. Scores: 93-97, 94-96, and 93-97.  Ruiz won the IFBA Bantamweight title.  Video of fight

Super bantamweight Linda Laura Lecca won by a third round TKO over Lina Palmera, in a scheduled six round bout.

July 13, 2013 -  A La Carte Event Pavilion, Tampa, Florida
Noemi Bosques, now 2-0-1, won a four-round unanimous decision over Monica Flores, now 3-1. At the weight-in Bosques came in at 111.2,

July 13, 2013 -Centro de Convenciones, Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico
Mariana "Barbie" Juarez, 115,  won the WBC Flyweight title against Riyo Togo,113¾  of Japan, who had just recently TKO'd her in their first fight in April. Scores: 98-92,  97-93, and 98-93.

July 13, 2013- Energie Verbund-Arena, Dresden, Sachsen, Germany, Christina Hammer, 157, 15-0-0 (7KO), of Dortmund, successfully defeated her WBF and WBO Middleweight titles against  Mikaela Lauren, 155¾, 19-3-0 (7KO), of Stockholm, Sweden. Scores/ 92-98, 90-100, 91-99.

July 12, 2013 -  Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan
OPBF light flyweight champion Naoko Shibata defeated Mika Oda by an eight-round unanimous decision.  The final judges scores were 77-75. 78-74, and 78-74.  WBAN would like to give a "Shout Out" to Samart of Japan, who has keep boxing fans updated on the boxing action in Japan!

Noemi Bosques, 106, won a four-round unanimous decision over Monica Flores, 111 1/4.

Light welterweight Katia Alvarino won a unanimous six round decision over Victorina Britez.

lightweight Cindy Bonhiver won a six rounder by points over Cynthia Godbillon.

July 6, 2013 - Deportivo del Sindicato del Metro , Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico
Jessica Nery Plata won a 10-round unanimous decision over Yesenia Martinez Castrejon for the WBC Light Flyweight Youth title.  All score cards were 100-90.  Video on Youtube

Debora Anahi Dionicius, 113¾,  won a 10-round unanimous decision over  Marisa Johanna Portillo, 114¾, for the IBF Super Flyweight title.

Susi Kentikian of Germany won a 10-round unanimous decision over Carina Moreno, USA, for the WBA Flyweight world title.  Final judges scores 94-96, 93-97, and 93-97.
