In the W.B.A. Super Bantamweight women’s world championship match Lisa “Badnews” Brown (17-4-3, 5 KO’s) of Toronto, won an impressive 100-90, 99-91.

Bantamweight Zulina Munoz won by a 10-round unanimous decision over Yazmin Rivas. The two were fighting for the vacant WBC (Youth) bantamweight title. Final judges scores were 93-97, 93-97, and 94-96. According to a news report they said the following: "Over three thousand fans made the battle cry that led Zulina "La Loba" Munoz to conquer the world junior bantamweight championship of the WBC after a unanimous decision victory against Yazmín "The Rusita" Rivas, who offered a fierce resistance in the fight. "
