April 10, 2010 -
Las Vegas, Nevada
Super featherweights Jennifer
Han, 129, and Crystal Hoy, 129, fought a very competitive four
round fight. The fans were cheering on the fighters. Jennifer Han
was in control of the fight for most of the rounds out punching Hoy.
Hoy seemed to come out slow the first two rounds maybe showing a
little ring rust being inactive for two years, Hoy continued to try
to work herself in past Hans long reach but got tagged by Han's jab.
Hoy connected a few of her own strong punches resulting in Han's
nose bleeding. Hoy's camp said Hoy will probably go down to 126 lb
for her next fight. Both Hoy and Han put on a very good fight in
front of the Las Vegas fans, hopefully we will see more females on
major undercards.. Han won a unanimous decision.

In boxing, there are
unanimous decisions and then there are UNANIMOUS decisions. Alicia
"Slick" Ashley's six round win over a game, but outclassed, Jackie
Trivilino on the O'Shea Brothers six bout card at the Masonic Temple
in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn on Friday, April 2, was,
assuredly, in the upper case category. The ring announcer's post
fight declamation that all three judges scored the bout, for Ashley,
60-54, had a "blinding flash of the obvious" ring to the assemblage
packing the floor and balcony.
