Christina Christian, 6’2", born on September 28, 1983, is an amateur boxer (looking to make her pro debut)  in the heavyweight division from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Christina started boxing four years ago since then she has been a dominating factor in the Canadian amateur heavyweight division. 6-0 setting tournament records. Five or her six victories finished by knockouts one was in less then 10 seconds.

Christina has always been athletic she played basketball from a young age and continued it throughout high school leading her to many University opportunities. She was excepted to Brock University in Canada where she was playing basketball and boxing along with keep up with schoolwork.

She seemed to enjoy boxing more then basketball and left University to pursue her career. Boxing was just so much more exciting to her, it was a thrill it was all on her unlike basketball where it was a team thing and she handled the pressure extremely well.

Training out of Regency Boxing Club in Canada her coach Dave Finch always has her working using her height and quickness to her advantage. Christina trains 5 days a week and runs everyday. She spars with many people at the gym but mostly the guys. The highlight of Christina’s sparring is when her teammate and lightweight champion of the world Jessica Rakoczy is back in Canada. It gives her the inspiration and a great opportunity to learn more techniques when Jessica is in town and to train with one of the best. She is also confident she will be the next female boxer form Canada to follow in her teammates footsteps.

It seems to come natural to Christina she is a very quick learner and has the desire and passion to follow through with her goals and dreams of becoming the heavyweight champ of the world. Christina also trains with most of the young and upcoming female boxers at her gym and then teaches a boxing class for boys and girls ages 7-13 yrs old once a week. She keeps busy with her training, teaching and her 2 jobs, one at a restaurants and another at a deli.

Boxing is a natural talent that nobody, not even Christina knew she had. Boxing started as a way to keep in top physical conditioning during the off season of basketball, which has now turned into a career choice. Proving to herself and the people around her that she is one of the best and will be the best and the whole world will know. Its her attitude that shocks people the most she is never negative knowing she can do anything when it comes to boxing she stays calm and focused. It’s a weird mix but she is always happy and smiling while being ready for anything that comes her way.
