5'8" Super Lightweight Chantelle Cameron, was born and lives in Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.  Chantelle gained a love for the sport by watching films that fetured Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  

Cameron first began at the age of 10 years old in kickbxing.  Then at the age of 16, she switched to Muay Thai, having a successful amateur career, then two years later she began training in boxing.

According to Wikipedia, when boxing as an amateur, she won a silver medal in the light-welterweight division at the 2010 EU Championships in Keszthely, Hungary, and a bronze in the lightweight division at the 2011 EU Championships in Katowice, Poland, losing to Ireland's Katie Taylor in the semi-finals. Cameron would avenge this loss in May 2023, defeating Taylor via majority decision to retain her undisputed championship.

On May 26, 2017, Chantelle made her pro debut when she won by points in a six-round bout over Karina Szmalenberg who had over 25 pro bouts.

Another highlight of her pro bouts took place on November 11, 2017, at the   Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, Cameron won by a third round TKO over Edith Ramos, in a scheduled ten-round bout. They were fighting for the vacant IBO Inter-continental Lightweight Title.

In her next fight on December 2, 2017, at the Leicester Arena, Leicester, Leicestershire, United Kingdom, Cameron, 133, won by a sixth round RTD, over Viviane Obenauf, 134. The two were fighting for the vacant IBO Lightweight title.

On March 3, 2018, at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Cameron won a ten-round unanimous decision over Myriam Dellal.   The two were fighting for the IBO Lightweight title. 

On June 23, 2018, at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Cameron, 134, won by a sixth round TKO over Natalie Aquirre, 131. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds.

On October 13, 2018, at the York Hall, in Bethal Green, London,
Cameron won by a unanimous decision in a ten round bout over Jessica Gonzalez. Cameron was defended her IBO Lightweight title, and for the vacant WBC Silver Lightweight title. The final judges scores were 100-89, 100-98, and 100-98, with Cameron winning all ten rounds.

On May 29, 2021, at the Michelob Ultra Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada,
Cameron, 139 1/4, won by a fifth round TKO over Melissa Hernandez, 136 21/4. Cameron was defending her WBC Super Lightweight title.

On October 30, 2021, at the 02 Arena, in Greenwich, Cameron, 139 3/4,  won a ten-round unanimous decision over Mary McGee, 139 1/2. The two were fighting for the IBF and WBC Super Lightweight World titles.  The final judges scores were 99-91, 100-90, and 99-92.

On May 21, 2022, at the O2 Arena, in Greenwich, London, United Kingdom,
Cameron, 140, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Victoria Bustos, 137 1/4. The two were fighting for the WBC and IBF Super lightweight title. Final scores were 100-90 on all cards.

On November 5, 2022, at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi, Cameron, 139 1/2,  fought in a unification of world title belts of the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC, and WBO Lightweight world titles.  Cameron won the bout by a unanimous decision over Jessica McCaskill, 139 1/2.  Final judges scores were 96-94, 96-94, and 97-93.  

    

On May 20, 2023, at the 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland, In a ten-round unification world title bout with many belts on the line, Chantelle Cameron defeated Katie Taylor with a majority decision, and delivering Taylor her first loss as a professional. Full Story with highlights of video of the fight.

  

On November 25, 2023, at the 3Arena, in Dublin, Ireland, Katie Taylor,  139½, of Bray, Ireland, returned to the ring to avenge her only loss against Chantelle Cameron,  139½, of Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. 

   

Cameron has now expired her first loss as a professional, after Taylor won the bout by a ten-round majority decision, defending her IBF, WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO Super Lightweight world titles.  The judges scored the fight 95-95, 92-98, and 94-96. The fight was a barn-burner and both did women's boxing proud when they fought to the boxing fan's delight!
