5’6” junior
welterweight Christina Swanson was born on January 1, 1982 in
Seattle, Washington.
She grew up playing many sports, but focused primarily on
swimming. This led to an athletic scholarship to Washington State
University, where she spent 2 years before transferring and
finishing out her swimming career at University of Miami. While
attending the University of Miami, Swanson earned her bachelors in
biology.
Swanson began boxing in 2004 to fulfill her competitive drive after
finishing her collegiate swimming career. After 3 months in the gym
she jumped into her first amateur fight. After only three fights
she attended her first national golden gloves tournament.

Swanson now trains in Miami, Florida with trainers Luis Lagerman and
Matt Baiamonte. She works as a lifeguard for Miami Beach Ocean
Rescue and is working towards a career as a fire fighter.
