Teresa was born in New Hampshire on December 31, 1973. At the age of 7 years she relocated to Bermuda with her American mother and Bermudian step-father. She is 5' 6 1/2", weighing, 160 lbs. She is the mother of 9 year son Micah.

Teresa has been active in sports in Bermuda all her life - mainly basketball, swimming, triathlon and road running. In 1990, as a dare, she participated in the Teachers Rugby Club amateur 'Fight Night' in Hamilton, Bermuda. This led to a 10 fight amateur career during which she fought in Denver and Scranton, Pa, as well as in Bermuda. Her amateur record was an impressive 8 wins - 2 losses.

In March 2003 Teresa made her professional debut at the Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. She defeated Nicole Conant by split decision. Her second fight was in Bermuda in June 2004 where she lost a unanimous decision to highly rated Monica Nunez. Teresa boosted her record to 2-1 in March 2005 when she won a unanimous decision over Elizabeth Kerin but dropped back to 2-2 a month later when she lost a unanimous decision to Laura Ramsey - both fights in Bermuda.

On September 23, 2005, Teresa traveled to Port of Spain, Trinidad, to challenge local favourite Scroller Carrington for the NABC World Middleweight title. Teresa won the belt with a 6th Round TKO victory. Her first defence of the title was in Bermuda on February 18, 2006, when she won a unanimous decision over Martha Deitchman over 8 rounds. On July 22, 2006, outdoors at Clearwater Beach, Bermuda, Teresa retained her title with a hard fought unanimous decision over Roselin Morales.

Teresa is a Massage Therapist and has her own business in Bermuda.
