(JAN 30) On Saturday night March 3, 2018, at the Sky Ute Casino, in Ignacio, Colorado, in the mainliner, Layla "Amazing" McCarter will be fighting Victoria "La Reina de Guerra" Cisneros in a 10-round bout for the vacant GBU and WIBF Welterweight title. There are six male bouts scheduled on the card.

Women Boxers now included in the 2018 Texas State Golden Gloves Tournament Source/News Media January 27, 2018

(JAN 27) In the latest news on the net, with an upcoming amateur boxing event that will take place, news sources report that this year will be the first to include female boxers in the Texas State Golden Gloves Tournament. The event will take place from February 28 to March 3, 2018. The venue is set to take place at the John Justin Arena on the Will Rogers Complex in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. As reported, state champions will also be able to compete in the national tournament, which is set for May 14-19 in Omaha, Nebraska.  Full Story

(JAN 26)  LOWELL, Mass. - The 72nd annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championships continued last night in front of a jacked-up crowd at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium, featuring later round Central New England (Greater Lowell) novice and open class matches.  Novice semifinals and championship finals, as well as some open semifinals and championship final, were held last night.  (JAN 25) Last Saturday, on January 20th, at the Palais des sports Marcel Cerdan, Levallois-Perret, France, Maiva Hamadouche, 127¾, now 18-1-0 (14KO), won a ten-round majority decision over Myriam Dellal, 127¼, now 15-7-3 (2KO).  Final judges scores were 93-97, 95-95, 93-97.  Hamadouche was defending her IBF Super Featherweight world title. 

(JAN 22) SAN ANTONIO, TX--On Saturday night, January 20th,  TMB & PRB Entertainment presented "Fight Nite at the Scottish Rite", an eight-bout event that took place at the Scottish Rite Theatre in San Antonio, TX. (JAN 16)  Several entertaining fights highlighted the untelevised undercard for two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields defense of her WBC and IBF titles against mandatory challenger Tori Nelson at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on Friday, January 12, 2018.  In the main supporting bout, Detroit via Kurchaloi, Russia, heavyweight Apti Davtaev had a successful United States fighting debut by scoring a six-round unanimous decision over Philadelphia's Garrett "The Ultimate Warrior" Wilson.

(JAN 15)  This coming Friday, on January 19th, at the Olimpico Football Club, Villa Gobernador Galvez, Argentina, Cristina "La Guerrera" Cuevas, 3-7-2, of Santa Fe, Argentina,  will be fighting Roxana Laborde, 8-18-3 (3KO), of Buenos Aires,  in a four-rounder on the undercard.  The two will be fighting at welterweight.

Included will be the WBAN Belt.
