(NOV 3) A women's world title fight can be
hard to find in a schedule, its start time can be buried, and a record looked up
in two places may not agree. Boxerbook (https://boxerbook.com
) brings records, schedules and their sources together, for women's and men's
professional boxing alike.
What it is
Boxerbook is a
free, open record book of professional boxing in English,
Spanish, Russian and Japanese. It covers about 2,000 women
boxers and nearly 9,000 of their bouts so far, and it is updated
every day. There are no pop-ups and no paywall.
Every fight with
its source
The thing we
care about most is where each fact comes from. A result on
Boxerbook is linked to its source: an athletic commission's
result sheet, a sanctioning body, Wikipedia or a named news
report. When a result has been reported but is not yet official,
it is marked provisional once at least two news reports agree,
and it is updated when the commission or the sanctioning body
publishes the official result.
What you can
find there
·
Boxer pages that show
each boxer's record going into every fight, so you can see who
she beat and when in her career.
· Upcoming
cards with the start time in your own time zone and where to
watch in your country.
· World
titles and their lineage, and the rankings published by the
sanctioning bodies.
· Results
from small shows too, not only the big nights.

Open data
Boxerbook's
data is open under the ODbL licence: journalists, researchers
and fans can reuse it under the terms of that licence, with
attribution. Boxerbook also connects to AI assistants such as
ChatGPT and Claude, which read its data and cite its pages, so
their answers about boxing point back to a source.

right
If you spot a
missing fight or a wrong result, write to

Promoters and commissions can send cards and results the same
way, and we credit them as the source.
