epicenter of women's boxing this weekend, hosting two boxing
cards featuring major regional titles.
At the Estadio José María Gatica
in Villa Dominico on September 12,
Maria Ines Ferreyra
(137 1/2 lbs) of Villa Maria, Cordoba, secured a ten-round
unanimous decision victory over
Anahi Ester Sanchez
(139 1/4 lbs) of Pergamino, Buenos Aires, to claim the
vacant
WBO Latino Super Lightweight title.
On the same card, a second
female bout saw
Mercedes Rocio Reyna
(101 1/2 lbs) of Buenos Aires edge past fellow local
Sol Cudos
(101 lbs) to take a ten-round split decision victory for the
vacant
IBF and WBO International Atom titles

(112 lbs) dominated her way to a six-round unanimous
decision over

Skye Falcon
proved to be the superior fighter in a featherweight bout
winning a ten-round unanimous decision over
Monika Syngh.

Sara Jalonen
stopped

with a third-round TKO in a bout originally scheduled
for ten rounds.
